Why mini/Toy Sheltie’s?
..Why not? lol. I have had all sizes and these smaller ones have been by far my most favorite. Their smaller size makes them ideal for most pet families, for indoor pets, apartment living and so on. Their smart, outgoing, bubbly personalities and fantastic kid friendly nature makes them a wonderful choice for just about anyone! I only own two females, and one male, so I am not a large scale breeder. My three dogs are my adored pets that go everywhere with me. Their health and happiness, and that of their puppies, is my first priority. I typically have a litter available once, sometimes twice a year. And because I breed for the love of it, I reserve the right to refuse selling a pup to anyone who I don’t feel is the right fit or situation. I do my best to ensure I am passing on only clear/safe genetics in their offspring, and I have ensured this by testing my dogs all before they were ever parents :) While these smaller shelties are not yet recognized within the breed standard, their are many breeders of these tiny ones that have been working very hard on making them a recognized size in the breed, and are well on their way of making that happen very soon! So while these smaller shelties are not able to be shown, but you can enter them in agility and they make fantastic lap sized pets. My three dogs are all small, under 15lbs and come from small lines, so the chances of their offspring being small like them is very high, although I cannot guarantee the pup’s sizes. Genetics can be tricky and unpredictable so the puppies adult sizes can always vary but I expect them to stay under 13” & 15lbs. I try to make their prices are reasonable as possible. My prices my still seem high to some, but if you take into account all the time, investment, testing, and good food that goes into my program, and compare prices from other well known toy size sheltie breeders.. you’ll see that my prices are very reasonable.
All puppies are sold with limited Akc / Ckc registration to pet homes. I am not opposed to selling to breeders as long as they test their dogs as well, and do it responsibly.
I am located in Lindon, Utah and I am trying to avoid shipping my puppies. So far this has not been a problem. I have had people from other states drive here to pick up their puppy, and I prefer this way instead, so you must be willing to come here to get your puppy when they are ready to leave at 8-10wks old. I let them go, only when I feel they are ready. Feel free to message me with any further questions. Thanks
