Taco Stuffed Bell Peppers😋
Ingredients
Pepper – any color
garlic
Onions
Tomato paste
minced meat
Black beans
Chopped tomato
Spice taco
Other taco fillings
Vegetables + fruits: tomatoes, red onions, corn, avocado, jalapeno, black olives.
Others: sour cream, rice, cilantro, guacamole, sauce, hot sauce, enchilada sauce, tortilla slices, fritos, doritos, pico de gallo, fried beans.
Professional advice! Substitute chopped turkey or shredded chicken for a leaner one!
Directions
Cut each pepper in half and use a pairing knife to trace the length of the stem and remove it.
Baking about 11 min at 350 degrees .
Prepare stuffing blending while the peppers are cooking.
Cut paprika on a baking sheet in half next to a skillet with taco filling to make stuffed taco peppers.
Stuff each pepper with the filling and cover with cheese.
Bake about 6 min . Serve!
Capsicum on a baking tray filled with taco filling and topped with grated cheese.
Hot pepper contains 90% water
This is the main reason we bake half of the peppers for 10 minutes. You would probably be able to pour the water from the middle of the pepper that would otherwise have gone into the taco filling.
It also allows you to cook ground beef while the peppers are cooking, which saves time.
Calories in paprika vs taco shells
1 medium whole capsicum = 24 calories (or 12 calories per hour
1 fried shell taco = 150 calories
1 baked taco shell = 62 calories
1 flour tortilla (6 inches) = 90 calories
Calories are provided by spreading 1/2 sweet pepper
Provided 50 calories per baked taco shell.
138 calories per fried taco shell.
Provides 78 calories per 6 inch of tortilla flour.
