Did you know about our digital x-ray and ultrasound?!

At Animal Medical Center we can get diagnostics done same-day. Aside from our doctors reviewing the images, we also consult Board-Certified Radiologists for their interpretation of x-ray and ultrasound images and videos! This gives our doctors even more information about our patients’ studies, helping with diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment! 🦴🩻🐾

Did you know about our in-house diagnostics?! 🔬🧫

At Animal Medical Center, we can run bloodwork, urinalysis, urine cultures, cytologies, snap-tests, and many other tests to obtain quick and accurate diagnostic information for your pet! This often gives us same-day results so we can start treatment as soon as possible!

We also work with several outside laboratories if we need more information! With IDEXX, The University of Illinois Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, and other labs across the country we are able to get even more advanced diagnostics done for our canine and feline companions! Many of the results are available within a week, or even next-day! 🧪🥼

Give us a call to set up your cat or dog for their annual appointment and bloodwork, or if they’re displaying symptoms you feel need addressed! 🐾

This week is Pet Poison Prevention Week! A lot of common household items are toxic to dogs and cats, so if your pet has ingested, or possibly ingested, a substance call your veterinarian! If after hours, contact the nearest emergency clinic or poison control.

Examples of toxic substances:
☠️ Plants such as philodendrons, aloe, and lily plants
☠️ Chemicals such as antifreeze, road salt, fertilizer, and w**d killer
☠️ Certain essential oils such as cinnamon, tea tree, sandalwood, and lavendar
☠️ Foods and Medications such as chocolate, xylitol, grapes/raisins, onions, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin
