Announcement: Ocean’s Braintree

There has been lots of rumour and speculation over the past few months regarding the location of our new restaurant in the Braintree area. The location was not officially disclosed as a definite because we wanted to make sure that we were able to purchase the freehold for the property not just accept a leasehold, which has been on this property for 30 years.

We are extremely happy to announce that as of the 14 May 2024, we have officially exchanged contracts on the building currently known as The Swan 26 Bank Street, Braintree, Essex, CM7 1UL.

The building is a 16th Century, original, Tudor structure, built somewhere between 1550 & 1560. With its beautiful wood-framed exterior, it has been trading as a pub since the early 1700’s, and will be undergoing a much needed renovation and upgrade, to restore the building back to its original beauty, with a modern interior filled with contemporary art from some of the worlds newest emerging talent.

Our team of world renowned interior designers have been working for over two months to come up with some amazing ideas and now a final plan is in place to turn this venue into an amazing place to celebrate your special occasion. The design style here is all about decadence, extravagance, theatrics and beauty!

The initial budget of around £500,000 has now been upped to reach an estimated £1.5 million pounds. This will ensure that our venue is amazing for all our clients.

At Ocean’s, our aim is to give you a dynamic, fine dining experience with the superior quality of a traditional Pan Asian restaurant, with a fusion of the Caribbean!

Get ready to lose yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Ocean’s, as our energetic Managers, talented table staff, and dynamic DJ’s create an experience to remember.

Not only will the venue offer dining on the lower floors, but will also offer private dining on the upper floors, and we have plans to convert the derelict barns attached to the main building, to offer a wedding venue and function rooms with a court-yard area for overspill. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a sophisticated night out, or simply seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure, Ocean’s is for you.

we all put a bit of weight on as we get older, trust me i know, lol, clothes getting tighter and tighter as the years roll on, BUT, watching PCA classes online now, some of you need to sling out your wardrobe and sort yourselves out! You look awful. Men in suits that are either popping buttons and tight across the ass, and half way up your leg!!! and some of the women, skin tight lycra dresses and tatty old clothes! im sorry but you can do better than this for the biggest and best poodle show of the year! Some of these "professional" handlers should be ashamed of themselves, you get paid enough, you owe your clients and the clubs more respect than turning out like you do. (of course this is not aimed at ALL professional handlers, the real professionals looked amazing like they always do, but my gosh, some of them looked like they needed a bath/shower and certainly clothing that fit them!!!!!
