Did you know that TPU is one of the most functional materials for end-use applications? Incredible impact strength, layer adhesion, and all-around durability make it perfect for harsh environments from industrial settings to the playing field! That’s why these soccer shin guards were printed with Cheetah, by Ninjatek. Cheetah offers the perfect balance of flexibility, and strength that rigid materials like PLA just can’t match. Accidentally bumping the wrong button? Fenner production teams, using measuring equipment to quality test belt length, found they were hitting buttons by accident and constantly resetting the equipment. Our engineering team helped design a cover that would not only protect accidental button presses, but also has a simple living hinge flip top so the teams can get to the button quickly when needed.

These 3D printed shin guards were made with Cheetah by , a material that has 84% greater impact strength than ABS. That means it can take a serious beating and still come out on top! Plus, its 95a TPU material provides the perfect balance of flexibility and strength.

To create these shin guards, the base geometry was modeled in Fusion 360 and optimized in nTopolgy by adding different lattice patterns and generating multiple designs. And the best part? Cheetah can be printed on just about any desktop printer, making it perfect for tough, impact-resistant applications at any level. Try it out today!
