For National Work like a Dog Day we would like to feature Hunter! Hunter is a German shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix who is part of the Super Paws Pet Care Crew family. Hunter is ‘s service dog. Hunter’s main job is to be her mobility dog. He helps steady her as they walk and keeps her from falling down. He also helps her get up by bracing and allowing her to put gentle pressure on his harness.
He naturally counts her heartbeats and when they get too fast or too slow he alerts her to sit or lay down so she doesn’t pass out.
He also does deep pressure therapy to help bring her blood pressure back up or to help with anxiety attacks.
He is learning to get things for her such as her phone or medicine bottles. Let’s hear it for Hunter! He really is a Superhero!!! www.superpawspetcare.com 972-377-9060

To celebrate World Snake Day we’d like to again share one of our staff members with you. Tyler is our resident reptile expert and our employee mentor here at Super Paws Pet Care.
Along with his parents (mom Lisa Gallegos is our Team Lead) they have a whole menagerie of different reptiles consisting of an amazon tree boa, 1 emerald tree boa, 1 green tree python, 2 ball pythons, 1 Burmese python, 1 rat snake, 2 red tail boas, 1 Savannah monitor, 1 bearded dragon, 3 leopard geckos and a sailfin dragon.
If you have any reptiles that need care while you are away, you can count on our experts!

A friend shared in a pet care group in the last few days that a local in-home boarder was evicted because they were in violation of their lease.

I GET the reason people choose "in sitter home boarding" but I so highly caution you:
- does your boarder own their home
- does your boarder have liability insurance that covers their boarding activities
- does your boarders HOA allow the number of pets they are boarding
- does your boarder have Pet CPR/First Aid training AND (and to me this is the MOST important) Dog Behavior training to keep YOUR pet safe?
-in some cities/counties you need a license to operate a kennel ( which is basically what in-home boarding is)

In this situation, they were given three days to move out. Imagine, you are on a week long (or longer) trip and all of a sudden, the person caring for your pet has THREE DAYS to get rid of it or MOVE OUT! Then what?
