**ANGELICA IS HOME**

HOSPICE ANIMAL EMERGENCY

Angelica, a sweet rag doll cat, was neglected and dumped at our door a couple of months ago. She has been in and out of the vet trying to figure out the cause of her losing weight and after many tests - we finally have answers. She has advanced liver cancer & only has about 2-3 months left to live. There aren’t any signs that she is in pain and she’s even playful and loves to cuddle! She is adorable and sweet - and deserves much more time, but the vet ensures us that there is nothing more we can do other than get her into a comfortable and loving home to live out her last days.
We can’t have her final days be at the shelter and need someone to step in and take her to live her days in a warm bed.

Adoption Fee would be waived.

Lets make this Jewel's week and get her home!
AMAZING UPDATE - Jewel was around men all through the holiday and has become much more comfortable being around them! She even gave the son in law of her foster mom - KISSES! She is no longer deemed a danger to men and can be placed in any family - including one with children!

Jewel is positively THRIVING at her foster home! Her foster mom has seen nothing but improvements in her behavior since getting out of the kennel. Which is exactly what we had hoped/thought would happen!
Jewel is a lover girl with some things to learn about personal space - but responds well to redirection and will calm down and sit next to you for pets rather than in your lap if you ask her to.
She is currently living with two foster brothers that are twice her size but she holds her own and immediately became part of the pack.
She shows signs of abuse with fast movements or moving your hand to quickly around her - cowering down and shying away - but she remains a positive light with a fiercely bright personality.

Jewels is a cuddle bug with so much love to give and she is ready for her forever home!

If you would like to meet Jewel - you will need to schedule an appointment since she is not at the facility - so give us a call or send us an email to get it scheduled!

Thank you to everyone who came in today to support MCAHS!
We were able to get a few animals adopted along with raising donations! We are so grateful to our generous community!

We had a donor give enough to cover sponsorships for ALL of our dogs at the facility! How amazing is that? So - thanks to this anonymous donor any dog we currently have is sponsored and $50 have been reduced from all of their adoption fees.

We still have cats that are in need of sponsors but from today we were able to get 4 more cats sponsorships!

Thank you all again - so much! We are so thankful!

On this beautiful February afternoon, a sweet little guy with a charming personality asked if he could be the next feline featured. Of course, I said “YES”!!! Acquainting you with our very own: Nintendo!!! Nintendo’s bothers, Ping and Pong, were adopted together recently and Nintendo is now anxiously waiting his turn to be chosen! Nintendo is a youngster with an overload of cuteness and striking coloring when you see him and it just gets better when he is active! He loves to play and yet is so gentle when he does. Born at the shelter on August 9, 2023, Nintendo is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH) grey tabby. He is six months of age, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Feel free to message us to set up an appointment so that you may see this incredible cat! Your heart will be enriched by his uniqueness❣️💙💗
