Today is International Primate Day!
We love our Capuchin and Squirrel Monkeys! Funky and Scooter are always such a joy to watch as they jump and swing in their habitat! Ava and Max are so sweet and love to curl up with each other!
Don't forget to stop by and say "Hi!" to our primates! They love seeing your smiling faces and showing off for you!

Our last day of summer hours is Labor Day, September 2nd!
Starting September 3rd, we will be moving to our Fall hours and will be closed Mondays-Wednesdays.
Our hours will be: Thursday - Sunday from 9:00am - 4:00pm

Next month we are honoring all our Hometown Heroes! From Thursday, September 5th – Sunday, September 8th all first responders, police officers, firefighters, EMT personnel, and our military members receive FREE admission to Pine Grove Zoo! We here at the Zoo are so thankful for all our community heroes.

Today is International Owl Awareness Day! Did you know Great Horned Owls were the first animal species here at Pine Grove Zoo? We were lucky to be able to bring back this amazing species 4 years ago when Mandy joined our animal family! Come out and visit her and see just how majestic these birds are.

There’s only one more Junior Zoo Keeping Camp left for the season! Is your child an animal lover? Then this camp is a perfect opportunity for them to come and explore the wonders of wildlife and nature. They will get to explore the outdoors, interact with our keepers, visit our animal ambassadors, and get to go behind-the-scenes here at Pine Grove Zoo!
Make sure you get your kids signed up for our last camp on Thursday, August 15th! It’s only $85 per child ($75 for members) and a t-shirt and lunch are included!

Our "Naughty" animals this week are our River Otters! and our "Nice" animals of the week are our Bobcats!

We have only one more KidZoo Camp this summer! This camp is for kids in grades 1-3 who want to be able to learn and experience the fun world of animals with some games and hands-on fun!! One adult must accompany each child and is included in the cost of the camp.

Our Senior Keeper in Training Camp has only two more dates left for the summer! This amazing camp is for grades 7-9. During this camp, kids will be able to do a lot of the same tasks that our Zookeepers do! They'll get to help prepare meals, clean habitats, and even observe some animal training. This camp is created to give your kids a unique hands-on learning experience!
This camp is only $95 per camper ($85 per member). Call today to get registered!

Zookeeper Facts!
Lexi is one of our wonderful Zookeepers! She's been with us at Pine Grove Zoo for 2 years. Her favorite part about working at the Zoo is being able to work closely with the animals and learning all their fun personalities! Her dream animals to work with are sharks!
Erin is one of our awesome Zookeepers! She's been with us at Pine Grove Zoo for about 5 months now. Her favorite part of her job is the cool uniform! And being able to interact with all the animals. When asked about her dream animal to work with she said, "A macaw or chimps or maybe gorillas... I don't know, all of them!"
Sabrina is our newest Zookeeper here! She's been with us for about 2 months now. So far, her favorite part of the job is being able to see the animals every day and doing hoof stock. Her dream animal to work with would be crocodiles!

We're less than a month away from our Roar-n-Pour Event! There will be wind and beer tastings from various wineries and breweries around the state. Local restaurants will also be offering some delicious food samplings. Michael Shynes will be performing as well. Guests will be entertained as they sip, savor and explore the pathways of the Zoo and our animals. There are limited tickets available, and tickets must be purchased in advance. They are only $40 per person!
