Happy 13th Birthday to our beautiful Mandy! She's officially a teenager now! Mandy is our stunning Great Horned Owl; she is a little shy but has a very sweet and gentle personality. For years she was an outreach ambassador and helped educate others about her species. She now enjoys her "retirement" being spoiled and people watching here at Pine Grove Zoo.

Zero, Tundra, and Icelyn are our adorable Arctic Fox siblings! Their snowy white coats act as very effective camouflage in the winter and when the seasons change their coat becomes a more brown/grey color. Did you know… Arctic Foxes can survive in temperatures as low as -58 degrees Fahrenheit!!

Meet Syd, our super adorable Two-Toed Sloth! Syd is very sweet and his favorite snacks are zucchini and apples. He loves his fruits and veggies a lot!
Did you know... Sloths actually have very poor eyesight and hearing? They rely almost entirely on their sense of touch and smell to find their food!

Happy 9th Birthday Vlad!
Vladimir, our Russian Tortoise, has been a part of our Zoo family since 2016. He is always on the move and loves to burrow himself in his habitat! Did you know... even though Russian Tortoises can't swim, they can hold their breath for long periods of time.

Morris is one of our North American Porcupines here at the Zoo. You might have seen him dancing in his habitat over the summer. He likes to do a little wiggle when he is excited (or he's hungry)!

Mango is our sweet Fancy Green-Cheeked Sun Conure! She absolutely loves being the center of attention and is a crowd favorite during our Creature Features and our Outreach Events! She is a big cuddler and will always let the Keepers know when she wants some attention.

Pine Grove Zoo is home to four majestic Elk! Maple, Hazel, Aspen, and Juniper are a lot of fun to watch, especially when they're exploring their rock mound. Did you know that Elk can run as fast as 40mph!? They have actually been known to outrun a horses in short distances.
