Sugar was one of the 7 puppies, dumped with their mother & 2 other adult dogs in downtown Little Rock right at Christmas. All of her siblings have gone to new homes, but for some reason, she has been overlooked. 😟 She is a great pup & learning so fast. She knows the doggy door & is basically completely potty trained & crate trained. She is 3 months old. As her name implies, she is so sweet …just like “Sugar”! She gets along with all her foster’s dogs & she would be fine with cats & kids. She will make a great family dog!

Truth.

I know it's heartbreaking to have your dog crated ten plus hours, but imagine them being crated for 23 hours or even 24. A lot of shelters and rescues are overwhelmed with owner surrenders right now, but there are tons of things you can do to keep your dog in your house.

You can hire a midday dog walker. You could take your dogs to doggie daycare. There are amazing lick mats and Kongs filled with frozen peanut butter to help entertain and keep your dog calm while you're gone. Ask us about enrichment ideas!

Going back to the office is not an adequate reason to give up on your pet.

Owner surrendered pets are usually the first to be euthanized inside county shelters because they need the space in order to make room for lost dogs. Even if you think your dog will be adopted quickly and could find a better home, that is not usually the case. Please consider all options before surrendering your pet, and think about their best interests. They trust you, they are a member of your family, and they love you unconditionally.

Beth is an 11-year-old Border Collie, who, unfortunately, has lost her home. Beth's human mother had to go into a nursing home because of an illness that has left her unable to care for her any longer. Beth is a retired "agility dog" that has won several titles in agility, rally & obedience. According to her latest vet check, she is in perfect health! She is still active & loves playing fetch with her ball. Beth will be the perfect companion for the family that would love to have a dog that is already perfectly trained! Beth gets along with other dogs & cats & she is great with kids!

No Calorie Chocolate--just in time for Valentine's Day!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️Rubble & Rocky are 6 week old brothers who were dumped in NLR. These adorable chocolate lab pups are thriving at their foster home. They will not be ready to go to a new home for a few more weeks, but we are taking applications and scheduling meet and greets.

Lilly is coming out of her shell & learning to play. This brave mom has come such a long way from being abandoned with her 7 puppies in the freezing cold downtown. Ben had a great day hanging out at the dog park and making new friends! He and Daisy, also available for adoption had so much fun. Ben is 70lbs, Border Collie / terrier mix and a big goofy boy. He is neutered and fully vetted. We need a foster or adopter for this boy, preferably a home with a large fenced yard and ideally another doggy sibling.

Look at this Coonhound, Little Miss Sunshine, so named by her foster mom because she is so sweet & a ray of sunshine! Approx 3 yrs old, and found as a starving stray in West Helena Arkansas. She is heartworm positive, but has a light case & is being treated. She probably needs to put on another 15 to 20 pounds to be at a healthy weight. Sunshine is potty trained & loves other dogs. She's a bit shy at first but once she knows you, you've got a friend for life!!! She will be completely vetted before adoption. If you can foster or foster to adopt this girl, she would be so appreciative!! ❤️please let us know. .

Say good morning to this beautiful boy we’ve named Ben! He’s a stunning wired haired terrier-border collie. Of course we don’t know what his past was but we certainly know what his future will be. A future of love, snuggles and loyal companionship! Ben is calm and walks very well on leash. . 😊Approx 3 yrs old, weighs 70 #’s. Housetrained, fully vetted, hw-and micro chipped. Ben is in a foster home and available for meets and greets! Send us a msg! He wants nothing more than to be loved! 💗💗

Check out this sweet, beautiful pup, affectionately called "Honey Bee"! Honey Bee was unfortunately spending most of her time outside in the freezing cold & snow, until a kind neighbor stepped in. "Bee's" owners realized they had no time for her, so they let the kind neighbor take her! Now, we are all here to help Honey Bee find her forever home! Bee is estimated to be around 13 to 14 weeks old. She is currently being crate trained & potty trained & learning fast! Bee's foster reports that she is so sweet, loving, energetic, friendly, smart, adventurous & cheerful! She loves playing with other dogs, loves giving kisses, playing with toys, and talking to you! And, oh yes, she says she snores like a grown man! 😆
Most of all, Bee is happy to be safe & warm, but she would love to have her forever home soon. Her foster loves her but is in no position to keep her long term.

Alvin and Theo are headed north this morning! These 2 beautiful brothers had an “amazing” foster mom! She spoiled them endlessly, providing good groceries and lots of love! 💗Abbey Road is beyond grateful for Loran’s help. She’s amazing! 💕
