See what our staff has to say about Amy!!!

Amy is very knowledgeable and good with the clients”

“I can tell she has always been an amazing tech, she brings so much knowledge to the clinic and always lends a comforting hand and perspective. I personally enjoy her presence and her being our lead technician as she’s always doing what’s best for the patients and staff.”

“Amy makes sure we run like a well oiled machine! She has an amazing skill set and works efficiently, prioritizing patient care. She does this on top of being involved in administrative duties and being a mother, we are always so impressed by her dedication and ability to balance everything!”

“Amy is the glue that keeps us all together and the lubricant that lets us all work smoothly.”

“Amy is always ready to pitch in wherever needed. She has a rare way of blending the best medical care with a gentle touch.”

“Amy’s passion for veterinary medicine stands out in her care of clients and their pets. Bellevue is thankful and blessed to have Amy on our team. To say we are grateful for her would be an understatement.”

“Amy is an exceptionally skilled CVT, demonstrating a deep dedication to animal care. Her passion for animals shines through in her work, and she consistently goes above and beyond for their well-being. Additionally, Amy is always eager to help others learn more, sharing her knowledge generously.”

Meet Amy, CVT, Lead Technician!!!

Amy was born and raised in Pennsylvania and made her way to Arkansas with her husband and son three years ago. Amy comes to Bellevue Animal Clinic with over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine. She graduated from Harcum College and has worked in emergency medicine, general practice, shelter medicine and has taught in a veterinary technology program. Due to relocation of her husband’s job, Amy made her way to Bellevue. When not working you can find her volunteering at the Humane Society on the weekends, reading, exercising or hunting/fishing with her husband and son. Amy is member of Christian Veterinary Missions and the current treasurer of the Arkansas Veterinary Technician Association.

Amy’s favorite breed of dog to work with at the clinic is German Shepherds! When asked what her favorite and least favorite aspect of veterinary medicine she simply stated that she dislikes f***l samples and anything to do with them. Her favorite part is providing the patient’s the care they need to be able to continue to live their best life!

Amy didn’t choose veterinary medicine as a career choice, it chose her! At one of her first jobs working in a pet store there was an abandon litter of kittens. Amy adopted one of those kittens and the world of veterinary medicine opened up with that first kitten visit and she never looked back!!!

Amy’s favorite quote for veterinary medicine is “There is nothing more important than doing the work you are meant to do!”

“Sarah is very helpful and is always there for the clients and their pets.

“Sarah has been at this clinic for a long time and not only does she care immensely about the patients but the clinic as well. She has been amazing to work with and she is always looking for a way to better care and comfort our patients”

“Sarah is fantastic at prioritizing tasks to make sure patients needs are being met! She is currently in school and it has been amazing to watch her learn and use her newfound knowledge in real time. We are so proud of her!”

“Sarah is the rock star! She anticipates what we need and usually does the tasks before I realized I needed it! She keeps me on my toes always asking good questions.”

“I have loved watching Sarah grow in her role as a veterinary technician assistant. The care Sarah gives for clients and their pets is unmatched. Sarah is going to do big things in veterinary medicine!”

“Sarah consistently stays on top of her responsibilities, doing everything possible to provide the best care for the pets! She builds strong bonds with our patients and lights up with joy when she sees them. Always motivated, Sarah never fails to give her best effort.”

“Sarah is very funny, nice and easygoing she always answers my questions as simple as she can.”

Meet Sarah, Veterinary Technician Assistant!!!

Sarah has been with Bellevue since 2019 when she started as a veterinary assistant. Sarah works full time for Bellevue and is currently attending San Juan College and is in her second year of the Veterinary Technology program. When Sarah is not working or excelling in school you can find her spending time with her daughter and husband, reading, playing her favorite video games, watching her favorite Anime’s and hiking!

While Sarah’s favorite breed of dogs to work with at the clinic may be Golden Retrievers or Husky’s her heart lies with cats! When asked what her least favorite aspect of veterinary medicine she talked about the emotional and stressful challenges she encounters, however she said her favorite part is when you can overcome those emotional and stressful challenges the field can be incredibly rewarding and emotionally fulfilling!

Sarah chose veterinary medicine because she knew at a young age she wanted a career centered around the care and protection of animals. She thanks her father for always supporting her, her passions and the strays she would bring home as a child!

Sarah’s favorite quote for veterinary medicine is: “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”

Everyday this week we want to introduce you to one of our certified veterinary technicians or veterinary technician assistants.

Today we introduce Emma, CVT

Emma attended ASU Beebe and graduated from the Veterinary Technology program in 2020. She has an extensive history in emergency medicine. Emma started part time in January 2024 but we quickly won her over and she recently joined us full time! She still dabbles in emergency part time at a local emergency clinic. When she is not working you can find her reading, crafting, hiking and writing. She even has a children’s book in the works!

Emma’s favorite breed of dog to work with is Dachshunds!! When asked what her favorite and least favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is Emma said she does not like making phone calls but loves being a voice for the voiceless.

Emma chose veterinary medicine as a career because she loves working with animals and loving people through helping their animals.

Emma’s favorite quote for veterinary medicine is “While there is life there is hope”

Veterinary Technicians are integral players on the veterinary healthcare team.

They are on the front lines, compassionately working with clients whose beloved animals need care.

They work tirelessly in exam rooms, labs, and operating rooms, using their vast technical and scientific knowledge to treat and care for every animal species.

This week we will be celebrating and acknowledging the veterinary technicians we have here at our practice.

Along with two credentialed veterinary technicians (Emma and Amy) we have two veterinary technician assistants (Sarah and Allison) who we appreciate very much!!

Please feel free to thank them when you are in for an appointment, picking up medication/food or even if you just drop by to say thank you!

She’s beautiful, you know. Unusual color…sort of gray and sorta brown. So maybe dark griege is the right name for it. Actually, she has some light brindle in places on her body. And it all works. Sia is a knockout. She’s some of kind bully breed, and she’s small. At 2-years-old, Sia weighs only 35 pounds. And that’s as big as she’s going to get. As for personality, Sia is intelligent, friendly and so very easy to spend time with. She’s very tolerant, even when it comes to photo shots. And on top of that, Sia has a gorgeous smile!

We’re just going to celebrate this all week. Check your pets’ chips Thursday!! 🐶🐱

Microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen…but a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.

To remind pet owners to have their pets microchipped and to keep the registration information up-to-date, American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) joined together to create Check the Chip Day. With support from HomeAgain PetRescuer, the AVMA develops materials to promote the event.
