We’ve recently diagnosed a case of Canine Influenza Virus. We recommend vaccination for high exposure animals, those that go to dog shows, doggy day care, dog parks, kennels and grooming.
Watch for symptoms of cough, nasal or eye discharge, sneezing and temp of 104-105. More severe cases present with lethargy, temp of 105-106, not eating or drinking. Only 1 or 2 can be a concern, your pet doesn’t have to have all the symptoms. This is highly contagious, but very few die. If you notice any of these symptoms, please read the attached article from The Ohio State University, then call us at 501-868-7375. Due to contagious nature of CIV, we may see your pet in your car
