If you a large dog and are tired of buying expensive dog beds... switch to a crib or toddler mattress. These are generally cheaper, and you can purchase a mattress protector with sheets instead of washing dog bed covers too. More affordable and easier to keep clean, especially with seniors.

It’s Round 2 for National Pet Week!!

You got your new puppy or kitten and are now ready to show EVERYONE!! I mean who wouldn’t, they look precious! So let’s talk socialization. It is important to introduce socialization methods when these babies are young, so as they age they can be comfortable around different people and different pets. However, there are several things to consider during the introduction process. See the AVMA handout below.

The most important thing to remember is when introducing to other pets that the other pets are fully vaccinated! Young pets immune systems are still developing and sensitive, so they can get sick easily. If other pets are not fully vaccinated, they risk introduction to several different viral diseases. Several are these diseases can also exist in the environment for a long period of time.

Talk to your veterinarian for any questions regarding socialization tips and tricks for your new and adorable baby.
