I hate to make this post, but things are getting to a point of desperation. Between the cost of food and a few sick fosters, money is running out more quickly for the animals remaining in our care than I expected at the time of closing intake a few years ago.

We currently have 8 dogs/cats, who will be in our care forever, and the 11 posted for adoption, who will be with us until they are adopted who still need food, litter, and occasional vetting. The food and litter alone costs ~$500/mo and we won’t last through the end of the year with those amounts.

We haven’t asked for donations in almost 2 years, but we desperately need them now!

Any donation is appreciated and helpful and we are a 501c3, so they are tax-deductible!

Our friends at Community Cats have helped us care for cats from the Soma community in emergency cases when strays are found young, sick or injured. With the help of Community Cats, these kitties are able to get the care they need, avoid going to shelters, and find fosters and eventually loving homes. We’d love to have help from our Soma Community to help cover the cost of this important work that they’ve done right here in our community.

If you would like to help Community Cats keep helping Soma Cats, you can donate to their account directly by giving us a call 501-916-2246, or ask a receptionist next time you are in. 100% of your donation will go towards medical care for kitties in need.

Tiffany is moving to Georgia and Thursday is her last day. She brings unicorns and kindness and can not be replaced. She has taken care of so many of our people and we will miss her greatly.
