Our mission is to empower schools and communities by promoting sustainable farming practices, teaching the value of nutrition, and providing access to healthy, fresh food through our after school farming and feeding programs. We strive to create a future where everyone has access to nutritious food, understands the importance of sustainable agriculture, and fosters a healthy lifestyle.

At Veggie Roots, we envision a world where every child has the opportunity to learn about farming, grow their own food, have access to fresh, healthy meals, and lead a physically active lifestyle. This years Chas-s C Farms will be open to the public to come by. We are located in Wrightsville behind the old COLEMAN’S AUTO SALVAGE, GATES WILL OPEN AUGUST OF 2020. We are right next door to the Nichols Beef Farm. You’ll be able to follow the dirt road to nothing but home grown Veggies by MeMe’s or my local farmer friends. Come see our wonderful work we’ve put in with the help of the USDA.

The sawflies has attacked us again. I never experienced this before. Dr. Bonner’s Soap to the rescue or any other natural soap you have handy. Please press the like button and then share button. Thank you for tuning in.

MeMe’s Sawflies Concoction
2 tablespoons of Dr. Bonner’s Soap or any natural soap you have.
2 tablespoons Cayenne pepper(remember bugs hate spicy stuff)
1 teaspoon of peroxide help clean the leave and will add a little shine
1 optional almond milk for extra plant shine
