The UA Little Rock Campus Garden is dedicated to providing fresh food to UA Little Rock students, staff and faculty while teaching our community the importance of sustainable urban farming. From a vacant lot to a thriving small urban farm with a big vision, we are a place for education, research & outreach about food production & sustainable living.

We have garden produce and goods available. 🍅🌶️🍠 Also don’t miss the campus sustainability tour! If you haven’t been to the Campus Garden, join the group walking tour departing the Sustainability Committee table at 11A to tour the Campus Garden, Dr. Levin’s archeological dig site in the south field, pass the bee hives to the recycle center and power plant! ♻️

📣 Farm Stand this week 🧑‍🌾 supporting students in urban agriculture!!

Grab some fresh, local produce at our Campus Garden Summer farm stand this Friday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We have a wide selection of produce available including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, onions, potatoes, squash, cabbage, eggplant, and more! 🥬 🍅 🥒 🌶️

This event will be hosted by students in the Principles of Sustainable Agriculture course, which aims to broaden understanding of how food is grown, marketed, and distributed, particularly at the local level.

Please come out and show your support!!

Miss our plant sale & also love 🌎 Earth Day?! You can find us at the Earth Day celebration Thurs., April 18! We saved a limited supply of plants to sell plus we’ll have early season greens and fresh cut herbs 🪴 available from 10A-2P in the courtyard (between & ). This event is sponsored by our partners with the UA Little Rock Sustainability Committee. Come see us! 🧑‍🌾

It’s time for our Annual Spring Plant Sale 🌱 Friday, April 12, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.! We have our favorites, new varieties of tomatoes and peppers, & super hot peppers 🔥 this year. Come see us! 🍅🌶️🪴

Our Story

" If our pilot native garden is successful, we envision future garden plantings that include experimental world gardens that feature global economic botany species that have ties to anthropology classes and student projects and possibly that have sustainable use potential in our local climate and conditions. Looking forward in an even longer term perspective, if our coalition of campus and community partners and our combined gardening expertise and capability grows effectively, we would be interested in possibly expanding our gardening activities into local food production (for educational purposes) in future years." - from the UALR Garden Proposal
