🚨🚨🚨

We know Archie was posted the other day - but we need your help 🚨 (original post here: bit.ly/4f1D8dp)

Archie had freshly shaved areas on his legs and a new suture site which indicated he recently had surgery. We are asking if ANY veterinarians, technicians, assistants or reception staff recognizes this boy! Someone in our area must know. He was brought to the Asbury Park Police Department originally by a Good Samaritan.

Archie came to us in very poor conditions, he was lethargic and thin - we knew something wasn’t right. He wasn’t responding to conventional treatment so he was brought to Garden State Veterinary Specialists where he was treated for pancreatitis. He is now back at our shelter and expected to make a full recovery - but we need to know where this boy came from!

Meet Dr. Christensen!!
You may have seen her around already but LSAH would like to extend a warm welcome to the newest doctor on our team 😄🐾❤️

A little bit about Dr. Christensen! She grew up in Oceanport, NJ and currently resides in Point Pleasant. She has always wanted to be a vet and started shadowing vets at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital when she was 12 years old. Dr C attended Rutgers University, where she majored in Animal Science with a minor in Endocrinology. She then attended Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies and completed her clinical training at Purdue University in Indiana. After graduation in 2016, she moved to Houston, TX where she practiced emergency medicine before moving to general practice. Dr C practiced in Texas before moving to Philadelphia in 2019 and then to NJ in 2023. She and her family are very happy to be finally be back “home” in NJ!

Dr Christensen’s medical interests include dentistry, oral surgery, and wound management. In her down time, she enjoys taking care of her outrageous number of tropical houseplants, gardening, baking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. She is also very interested in Italian and French history, loves coffee, and has never met a cheese she didn’t like. Dr C is married to Peter, a New Orleans native. They have two young children and a rescue dog named Oliver (pictured in the last slide🐶).
