Every year we get together and let each pup pick their own toy from a new box of toys. A tradition started years ago by one of our team members Barb, who collects new toys for them through out the months leading up to Christmas. They usually end up with several on this day, lol. It’s such a fun way for us to celebrate the holiday season with them all while they wait to be adopted. We love spending the morning together and anything extra to make them happy is the best gift to the team. (Yes the get toys all year long and yes the cats got toys too 😜)
Happy Holidays everyone, we hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
* CE Animal Rescue is a volunteer based nonprofit organization, we are a licensed rescue and no k*ll sanctuary. We operate in the Antelope Valley where our local county run animal shelters take in 5 times more dogs than than all the LA county shelters combined, they are over crowded and under funded.
We are surrounded by rural desert and our abandoned and lost dog and cat population is extremely high. All of these dogs in this video and at our facility have already been rescued, and are SAFE until adopted.
In the middle of a normal day today, we got to take a break from cleaning and everyday stuff to sit and enjoy the absolute best moment with Hunter. This boy has lived in the desert his whole life, with no beds, no toys, no humans and little by little he’s showing us how great we already knew he was. Tears of joy for sure thanks to this handsome boy today.

In 2022 Lola was left in a backyard for months to fend for her self and then was going to be put to sleep out of convenience, we don’t imagine she had much of life prior to that either given the shape she was in when we got her but her sweet soul and loving personality doesn’t seem to be affected. She’s the happiest most loving girl. She’s been at the rescue with us now for far too long, and although she’s safe until adopted she deserves a family to call her own! Lola gets along with other easy going male dogs. She doesn’t do great with females and she can’t live with cats. She does well with kids and meeting new people. She loves play time, her pool and going on walks. Lola does have some allergies and is on a salmon kibble diet and monthly allergy shot.
If you’re interested in meeting her please TEXT us at 661-839-2200. If you have any questions about her it’s important that you text us as we aren’t always able to keep up with all comments and messages across the social media platforms we utilize. We are located in Southern California (Littlerock). Lola is 6 years old and weighs 51 pounds.
Thank you @paws_n_prayers for spoiling our pups for Thanksgiving.
Thank you to our village, we couldn’t do it without every single one of you.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We have had a crazy two weeks. We are ready to catch you guys up on how busy we have been. First up is a Charlotte update ! We are not sure where she came from or who left her but we imagine she had a rough start to life. Parvo is no joke, but because we caught it immediately we are confident she will be just fine! As for her leg, it was definitely broken when she was a pup. It’s healed back almost completely and isn’t causing her pain. She has a slight limp that she potentially could grow out of, there is some bone calcification but overall we have high hopes for her! If you’d like to make a donation to her hospital bills and care we would appreciate it! We are looking forward to seeing her thrive. She’s the absolute sweetest.

Oppie is available for adoption ! We pulled him from the country shelter before being put down, he is now ready for his happily ever after. He is fixed and up to date on vaccines. He is a healthy male chihuahua who’s about 8 or 9. He has had a dental as well. He is friendly with other dogs and needs a quite easy going atmosphere.

Laverne Update •
We love her so much, and are thankful she’s safe with us. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to her. As long as she continues to eat well and be comfortable we will spoil her with love. We won’t force her to stay with us if we feel her quality of life isn’t present. If you’re interested in a hospice foster situation and are local, please text us 661-839-2200
We are located in Southern California (Littlerock) and are a registered 501c3 as well as a license sanctuary and rescue.
Starting off September strong with these 3 sisters.
We had several emergencies the last 2 months and could use some help getting caught up. We didn’t quite meet goal on those fundraisers and it adds up over time. Between Oakley, Motto, Winslow, our senior shelter pulls and rescues, a few of our sanctuary cats and some property maintenance issues we are behind. We don’t want to slow down this month but we always rescue responsibly and will never take on more than we can handle. If you’d like to help us meet some goals we would appreciate it. If you already donated to those bills just know we are so thankful for it and you, we couldn’t do this without you guys! It takes a village and we are so grateful for ours!

This amazing resilient mama is still waiting for her happily ever after. She was surrendered to us from a breeder where she was in horrible condition. Her ears were filled with pus from double ear infections and required surgery,
she likely had the infection most of her life that went untreated. Her skin was bad and she was underweight. She is in a good, healthy, happy place and is ready to find her forever family. She gets along with most other dogs and is super friendly meeting new people. A meet and greet with any dogs in the home is required at the rescue and all dogs must be spayed/neutered. Lavender is about five years old and weighs 24.8 pounds we can’t say if she’s potty trained or not as we think she was kept in a cage most of her life and is likely never been in a home. She is doing well walking on her leash and enjoys going in the play yard often. She is a super affectionate cuddly and overall a loving pup.
