Sometimes we have to sit back and think about how lucky we are. I am blessed to have a wonderful family, a few good friends, animals that are my children and amazing students.

Having horses has enriched my life in ways I often don't think about. My students have been good to me this Christmas. And one gift in particular made me cry.

Created by my student Suzanne.
Amazing work. I was so shocked when I opened the gift. I can't thank her enough!!!!

Thank you to all my awesome students for your kindness this Christmas. You guys bring me such joy!!!!

She can create magic for you as well. Contact me for information if you are interested.

Good afternoon!! If we don't get the predicted (possible) ice storm this weekend I will be offering lessons Saturday morning. If they book I can add more.

Also, it appears that we do have an indoor coming in our future!!!!!! I was told by the barn owners that they will be expanding the current barn out over the parking area to the outdoor arena. So that will add more room to the barn which will be emptied and cleaned up to be used for riding. The extra stand alone stall will be removed (Jack and Cheeto will be going to a new home 😢) The new big barn doors will be along the outdoor arena. So basically the two arenas will be attached.

We may be asking for assistance to get the barn cleaned out and emptied.

Hi guys. A quick update on Rascal. We finally got his muscle enzyme levels back from his blood work. Unfortunately ALL enzymes are elevated. This explains his pain and reluctance to cooperate. So we (me, Lauren and an equine vet) are looking at alternative medications, possibly some supplement adjustments and anything else that can help him have no pain.

Rascal is 16 years old now and with a degenerative muscle disease it is surprising he is not only still here, but still able to be ridden. But we may have to slow things down for him, meaning not to expect him to run barrels but to enjoy walk/trot/easy lopes in the arena and on some trail rides.

I will do everything I can to keep him comfortable but I will also always put him first ❤️❤️

Hope you all understand!!!

Hello all. Can you believe that it will be the New Year in 2 weeks!!! So I wanted to take a minute and thank you all for trusting me and allowing me to share the love of horses with you. I enjoy every minute of watching you all learn, improve and form bonds with the boys.

Now for some updates, changes and plans for 2026.

*There will be NO increase of the lesson costs!!!!

* You can earn free lessons by helping at the barn. 3 full hours of work will earn you a free 1 hour lesson (going by $12-$15 hour pay to equal a $40 lesson)

*I hope to do more events in 2026. But to be able to compete, you must meet some requirements.
1. Only students who get regular lessons can compete.
2. You are responsible for all entry fees.
3. Fuel/ travel fee will be $15 per rider.
4. There will be NO coaching fee and NO horse rental fee.
5. You (and other riders) are responsible for caring for the horse you are riding while at the event.
**Make sure they have hay
**Offer them water
**Check on them frequently if they are tied to the trailer
**Tack up and be ready for your class
**You will also be expected to assist with loading and clean up before leaving the event

*We will spend 10-15 minutes of each lesson learning to groom and tack our horse.

*I hope to incorporate many trail rides in 2026! Cost for a trail ride will be $75 (usually 2-3 hour rides)

*I need ideas for holiday stuff. Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas. Share some ideas.

Ok, as always, feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns or ideas!!!

Welcome to the snowy winter!!! The current temperature is 24° with a "feels like" temp of 13°. It does not appear that it will be getting any warmer today.

I have no problem doing lessons today but also understand if you feel it is too cold!!
