Due to expected rain this weekend I have reserved the indoor arena in Gettysburg for lessons starting at 10:00.

Currently on the schedule are Eden and Camilla.

NFR updates!!

Hailey Kinsel and Sister won rounds 1, 2 and 3. Kassie Mowry on Jarvis has won rounds 4, 5, 6, and 7. She ran a 13.19 last night. The arena record is 13.11. she is running in honor of her fiancee who was a horse trainer and died earlier this year.

There's no stopping Kassie Mowry and Force The Goodbye. The Dublin, Texas, duo turned in a 13.19 to win Round Seven of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, presented by Teton Ridge. This makes four round wins in a row for Mowry and Jarvis. They've collected $197,996 so far and currently sit No. 2 in....

For those interested in barrel racing. This run is at the NFR (National Finals Rodeo). This is the biggest rodeo there is. Barrel riders have to do one run each night for 10 nights. The rider with the highest average (most wins) becomes the World Champion for the year and takes home A LOT of cash!!!

These riders had to win a ridiculous amount of money throughout the year to qualify.

This is Hailey Kinsel and her amazing horse Sister. So far they have won the first 3 rounds!!!!!

It is going to be in the 30's today. Please make sure you dress WARM!!!!

If anyone scheduled today would like to switch and ride tomorrow instead when it will be warmer, my plans for tomorrow have changed so I am available. Please let me know!!

It's cold out!!! Rascal is bundled up in 2 blankets and 2 neck pieces. He had some yummy muscle relaxers with dinner. So hopefully 🤞he will be feeling ok for tomorrow's lessons.

Looks like it will still be cold in the morning so make sure to bundle up!!!

Have a bad ride? Rough day working at the barn? A saddle you want just financially out of reach?

I'd like to take this time to remind you that...

Hunter/jumpers: we ride horses in circles and jump sticks for a living and then we let some person tell us our horse did, or did not, jump the sticks as pretty as another horse.

Dressage: we trot in circles and let someone tell someone else to write down whether or not we are circley enough for the circle club

Eventers: we decided jumping out of an airplane without a parachute wasnt exciting enough, so we run at mach speeds towards walls, ditches, and small lakes to see who can do it fastest.

Barrel racers: we spend all of our time fine tuning our ability to turn 3 times faster than anyone else

Ropers: we catch calves that are technically already caught

Steer wrestlers: we wrestle an animal that didnt even know there was a wrestling match coming their way

Team Sorters: even on our worst day, we didnt spend as much as the cutters.

Reiners: see dressage, add speed.

Cutters: we let several people tell us were better, or worse, at not letting calves hang out with their buddies.

Team penners: we take caught calves, and make them a little more caught

Mounted shooters: because weve used this skill ever in the last 200 years

Endurance: we take 10 times as long, and 10 times more money to get somewhere an ATV could've brought us.

Western Pleasure: we poke around at wine sipping speeds in the equestrian equivalent of a ball gown.

Trail riders: cheers. Y'all have it figured out 🤣

It's not that serious y'all, so just have fun!
