October is Pitbull Awareness Month.

This month is important to us. It's a Pittie Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Pitbulls.

A breed that is always under the microscope and scrutinized, judged, labeled, simply by how they look. It is an extreme job we must have as pitbulls owners and advocates to set an example and show the world what kind of dogs they really are. They are smart, loyal, obedient, driven, silly, cuddly, bed hogs, zoomie running, big heads to match their big hearts, amazing breed. How lucky are we to have been able to play apart in so many amazing pittie lives. ❤

R+ dog training is based on the science of animal learning and behavior. It is a force-free, science-based approach that uses positive reinforcement to shape and change behavior. R+ dog trainers never use punishment or coercion to train dogs; instead, they focus on teaching desired behaviors and reinforcing those behaviors with rewards. R+ dog training is effective because it is not adversive; dogs are more likely to learn when they are not fearful or anxious. In addition, R+ dog training relies on operant conditioning, which means that dogs learn by making associations between their behavior and the consequences that follow. As a result, R+ dog training is ahumane and effective way to train dogs of all ages.

😍🐶🐶DOG OF THE DAY🐶🐶😍

These 2 guys in August came to me out of a shelter environment into the BEST HOME they could ever have. James called and was having an incredibly tough transition with 2 German shepherd Brothers that were about 2. They were scared on guard and didn't know where they were. This is what James sent to me this morning

"Awesome! Thanks Misty. Update: Georgie is crushing the crate training and Maxi is showing improvement. What I haven't noticed is Maxi is now sleeping a lot, He is not pacing and searching for potential dangers, he is finally relaxing and starting to "dog" and is starting to wag his tail way more and is seeking attention and pets more often. Thanks for giving us the tools to thrive! Hope you have a great day!"
