I am very excited to announce what I hope will become a yearly tradition here at Tailswag. Thanks to the brilliant idea from Emily Rathman, we have started a Giving Tree to support five very special and extremely deserving organizations this December. I hope you will join us in spreading some holiday cheer and love this season to Second Chance Animal Rescue, Granite State Dog Recovery, Old Dogs Go To Helen, Riverside Rescue, Inc., and Above the Notch Humane Society 🤍

Tailswag came from the mind of a fresh-faced 21-year-old and that’s where it stayed for almost an entire decade, stored in the depths of my brain, buried under the dirt of self doubt and fear of failure. But then something happened: I saw a glimmer—just a little sparkle of a gem nestled way back there, and I took a chance and dusted it off a bit. Gentle at first, then all at once. Did you know that diamonds are the hardest gemstone known to (wo)man? They’re durable and tough, but they’re also quite dense and heavy. Diamonds also take time to shape and develop; they come from the earth in their natural uncut form. They do not just appear refined and at their full potential. But with love, and patience, and perseverance, and belief, they turn into something brilliant. It takes a diamond to cut another diamond. Remember that. Keep digging. Keep grinding. Ideas are abundant. Diamonds are forever. 💎
