🌸🌿Spring is here, but so are the hidden dangers in our homes! 🌿🌸
As flowers like Easter Lilies bloom, it's important to remember that many common plants are toxic to our furry friends!
Easter Lilies, for example, are dangerous to cats and can cause kidney damage—even in small amounts!
Other plants like daffodils, azaleas, and tulips can also pose a risk to pets.
🔴 What should you do if your pet ingests a toxic plant?
1. Call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435 for expert advice (available 24/7).
2. Then, call an urgent care or 24 hour veterinary hospital.
You can give us a call at Littleton Area Veterinary Urgent Care at 603-444-5533.
Please have your ASPCA case number ready.—this helps save time and ensures we have the information needed to provide the best care for your pet.
💡Prevention is the best medicine! Keep toxic plants out of your pet's reach, and be extra cautious this spring.
