Holy moly, do we feel the love! We did it! We surpassed last year's Colorado Gives Day and raised $68,000! That means with our generous match, we raised a grand total of $128,000! In the words of Pippin, "That's a lot of treats!" Thank you, thank you, thank you, Village Family! We couldn't make miracles happen without you. 💙💙💙

BamBam the Brave seemed to have drawn an entire deck of bad luck. From being surrendered due to the health of his human, to Genetic skin issues, causing his hair to fall out, leaving large patches and a “nude” appearance, to spinal arthritis, causing severe pain. But the worst part was Bam’s bowels. Although he was embarrassed when we asked him if we could tell his story, he isn’t too proud to talk poo. Long story short, he will most likely have a f***l transplant procedure in the near future, to help him live a normal life. This gorgeous silver lab is getting all the TLC from his medical foster but looks forward to the day he can wear matching sweaters with his forever person, as “Walking in the Buff”, isn’t quite his style. BamBam is an incredibly unique medical case, and we couldn’t have gotten him through so many hurdles without our Village’s support. Man Crush Monday: Meatloaf 🔥🔥🔥
This sweet boy would do ANYTHING FOR LOVE! And sadly, has been patiently waiting for over 8 months to find a family of his own. Meatloaf has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite. He’s hoping to spend this holiday season lounging under the Christmas tree with a stocking of his own. Meatloaf is:
🚙 obsessed with car rides and does great in the car
💐a man that knows what he wants - he likes to stop and smell the flowers….and anything else that interests him
☀️loves to lay in the sun and roll in the grass
😊 lets you know when he’s happy by smiling from ear to ear
💕 a big cuddle bug and will lean his full body into you
🏠 has been a great house guest on several overnights, no accidents
🚲 doesn’t react to people, bikes, or other dogs on walks
🧸 goofy boy who enjoys playing with plush toys
🍼 while Meatloaf loves people, this distinguished gentleman would do best in a home without small children
🦴 Meatloaf is a 2-year old American Bulldog/Shar Pei weighting in at 74 lbs

Meet Penny! She had her first day as a school therapy dog. Her mom is a school counselor at an elementary school in Castle Rock. They have worked very hard for Penny to become a certified therapy dog in Douglas County schools.

We are SO proud of our patient!

A therapy dog in a school dramatically cuts down on meltdowns in a school counselor’s office! We all know the benefit of dogs and how they help regulate our nervous system and anxiety. Every school should have one!

These are the phlebotomists, x-ray techs, surgical techs, anesthetists, dental hygienists, pain control specialists, dog wrestlers, cat whisperers and wonderful caretakers that work behind the scenes to take care of your furry family members!
