Here’s some things we know:
1. Wolf hunts cannot be controlled— human-caused wolf mortality more than tripled in the years AFTER the last wolf hunts in Minnesota.
2. The death of a pack leader from human related causes makes a pack 73% more likely to dissolve than if a leader dies of natural causes.
3. Unstable packs are more likely to go after easier prey such as livestock.
All in all, wolf hunting is detrimental to biodiversity, ecosystems, wolf packs, and even livestock producers. The best solution? by banning recreational wolf hunting and trapping in Minnesota!
