We are only one month away from the 19th Annual Shopping Extravaganza at the Outlets at Castle Rock! On September 28th, we are one of the lucky charitable organizations that benefit from this exciting event! Your ticket not only includes lunch and a wine tasting, but epic shopping deals. In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police who investigate crime, and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories. You see, Pops & Benson used to be detectives in NYC. Then they retired to start a new chapter. These handsome gents are a package deal. In fact, they are regularly spotted spooning in their kennel after hours. Pops & Benson are laid back, friendly, loving guys who will surely brighten all your days. What you should know about these studs:
🐕 Pops - white poodle/bichon mix, 25 lbs, 4 yrs old. Loves to play with toys!
🐕 Benson - black mixed breed, 35 lbs, 12 yrs old. He has early onset kidney disease that requires a special diet.

We wanted to take a moment to thank a few of our recent volunteer groups, who donated their time to enrich the lives of our shelter friends. First, we had a wonderful visit from Troop #65719. These young, animal lovers spent time socializing our four-legged friends, and even brought much needed donations. Then a few members from "Women of Colorado" came in to help us walk dogs, before the blistering sun could interfere. And early this week, students from North Littleton Promise stopped in to learn about pet commitment and help with a few shelter tasks. It really takes a Village and we have the BEST community a shelter could ask for! ❤️

If you are looking for some super fun, family friendly activities for next weekend, look no further! Our schedule is jam packed with events that cater to everyone's interests and support our furry shelter friends. Next Saturday, you can find us at the Outlets at Castle Rock. From 9 am to 1 pm, we will be at the Cruise In Car Show. And just across the parking lot, you can find us at the Outdoor Summer Fest from 12 pm to 4 pm with adoptable cuties. All water and beer sales will benefit the shelter. More info can be found at https://www.outletsatcastlerock.com/events/. On Sunday, we are back in Littleton at Coal Mine Ave Brewing Company. From 2 pm to 4 pm, we will be washing dogs at our monthly mobile dog wash. The dogs will be dirty and the beer will be cold! We hope to see you then!

Hello Wonderful Village! We wanted to take a moment to give a SUPER SPECIAL thanks to someone who shows so much love and support for our shelter. Our friend, Shawn Gallego Photography has donated her time and talents for years, making our events absolutely memorable. She not only provided photoshoots for Pup Strut, Valentine's Day, Easter and Woof and Wine, but we wanted to share a really heartwarming story of her most recent volunteer outting. A wonderful family purchased tickets for our Easter shoot but missed it. This shoot was incredibly special to them because the family's dog, Barkley, was not doing well. Shawn spent an afternoon with Barkley and his family, making sure they got the most unforgettable photos with this special senior. Sweet Barkley passed away just a few days later. Thank you, Shawn, for always giving your all. We appreciate you more than we can put into words. It really takes a Village and we couldn't do it without you. And to Barkley, rest easy, lil pal.

Obi is an adorable, cuddly and fun shelter pup. He's spent his childhood at the shelter, waiting for the perfect family to give him a chance. It's time for this energetic guy to see what else life can offer.

We wanted to take a moment and send a special thank you to two groups that recently spent time at the shelter, enriching our residents' lives! Last month, we had our first monthly visit from the young animal lovers of Little Den's Summer Camp. These students came in to learn more about pet care and commitment, as well as socialize our cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. And last week, we had a few staff from Working Spaces, Inc. come and walk our dogs and hold puppy play time. We are so grateful for this beautiful community. It takes a Village!

Good morning, Village! The shelter will be closed tomorrow in observance of the 4th of July holiday. We will reopen on Friday at noon for reclaims and adoptions. Last Friday, we hosted our 11th Annual Woof and Wine 2024. We are so proud to announce that we raised $140,000! We could not have done it without our amazing Village!
