We had much FUN on Sunday at our annual ✨ HHS Awards Banquet ✨
There was so much to celebrate. The sense of family, delicious food 🥘 sharing laughs and memories and recognizing how fantastic our riders have done this past year - we just had a great time! 🥰This is an event that we look forward to every year… since 2005 actually! 📅
To our community of riders, parents, horses, and especially our staff, THANK YOU for an amazing year. We cannot wait to make more memories with you in 2025 💙💛

🗣️Calling all Above The Bitters!
Is your horse a THINKER or a RESPONDER?
Join Kathryn and our other instructors for an educational and (definitely) entertaining night!
As a group, we’ll explore the difference between a thinking horse 🤔 a responding 🐎 and how this might affect your riding and training. Watch as several horses are put through an obstacle course as we discuss and try to determine what type they are! 🧐
🗓️ Friday, February 28, 2025
⏰ 6:30pm
🍪Our food theme this month is “Comfort Food”. Bring something to share and we’ll provide the merriment! 🍷
✨ Above The Bit clinics are complimentary to all adult riders and parents of HHS riders. Please dress warm and email the office to let us know you’re coming!✨

It is officially cold weather riding szn! 🥶 Bundle up when you head to the barn and be sure you’ve got the right gear to make your time outdoors tolerable. Check out these tips put together by Holly, and you can find everything you need at our favorite tack shop, @horsemans.exchange right here in Littleton, MA!
❄️ Layer up! Start with a base layer and then put another form fitting layer on top to keep your warmth in, before adding your outer layer.
❄️ Three words: Winter. Riding. Breeches. Once you get a pair, you’ll never go back.
❄️ Big winter coat! Ever wonder why your instructors look like marshmallows? That waterproof, insulated outer layer will ensure you stay warm and dry.
❄️ Wool socks: keep those toes toasty!
❄️ Winter Riding Gloves: the right pair will ensure you can still have a good feel on the reins while holding in a little warmth, plus those hand warmers we suggest you stuff inside your gloves!
❄️ Winter Riding Boots: while not usually appropriate to show in, these boots will really help keep your feet and legs insulated better than just leather during these cold days at the barn.
Stay warm out there - we’ll be seeing you for lessons!
