As we prepare for the pups to go to their forever homes, I want to share the method I follow for potty training. IT IS AMAZING and IT WORKS!! When the pups go home I will send a bag of pellets home. Please put the pellets where you want the pup to "go". The puppy is already trained to go to that scent to relieve themselves. I strongly suggest not using puppy pads or encouraging them to "go" in the house. The first few days in their new environment will set the routine for them, let's make sure we all succeed :)

Another pic sent in from a proud owner of Nola's first litter. This handsome man is Bullet. The caption sent from his owner was "best f@ #$ing dog ever". Bullet has shown heroic acts of service for his family on several occasions. He alerted the family to a house fire and due to Bullet's alertness the home was saved and no one was injured. On another occasion, Bullet at just 6 months old, fought off two other dogs attacking "Granny" in the front yard. We salute you Bullet and you get the Best f@ #$ing dog awardπŸ†

Spotlight on our Dame Nola Rae🩷 Nola is an American Silver Lab. She is our very needy baby. After searching breeder after breeder I found a breeder in Lousiana and purchased Nola. (Nola Hint... New Orleans LA) for my husband Chris' birthday. She has become our toddler Siler's partner in crime πŸ’₯

We purchased Nola with the understanding she was AKC registered, as advertised by her breeder. Once I started doing my own research, I discovered that Silver labs cannot be AKC registered due to the color not being recognized. I inquired with the breeder about this and she corrected her mistake. We drove all the way to LA during the pandemic to pick up our new baby. When we arrived, the breeder did NOT, in fact have the paperwork for Nola's Sire, Cooper. She stated the paperwork was sent in with hopes it would be done in time for pick up and promised to send me my papers.

We went on about life not worried about the papers, that was until, one of our teenagers let the dogs out together and SURPRISE Nola ends up pregnant. When I contacted the breeder again to see the status of our paperwork, she had lost her fiance in a horrible car accident and was forced to sell her dogs. The pics below are the only thing I could find where she posted her dogs for sale and my search for the new owners came up fruitless.

So, Nola is not currently papered but we hope to file our own paperwork to get her CKC just based on the information I do have and the pictures of Nola.

I can see that she is pure Labrador and we are good with that. Her not being papered allows us to breed to good homes at a lower cost.

Here is a little photo spotlight on our Sire Atlas Jax. Atlas is Momma's baby boy and he is usually always within 5 feet of me. He is an 85lb AKC registered English Lab, meaning he has the large block head that most people associate with the Labrador look. While I'm cooking, since he is always a good boy and never gets under my feet, I always give him tastes of dinner and special treats ❀️
