The Sassy Noodle Terms & Conditions
The goal here at The Sassy Noodle is to produce quality, healthy cornsnakes in a variety of morphs. We strive to please every customer by providing each one with the cornsnake they desire. That being said, it has come time to lay out some terms and conditions to better serve our customers and protect our interests.
**ALL SALES ARE MADE UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE BUYER HAS READ AND AGREES TO THE TERMS & CONDITIONS SET HEREIN. IF YOU DO NOT TAKE THE TIME TO READ THESE, YOU DO NOT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DISPUTE A PURCHASE OR REQUEST A REFUND.**
SALES:
*All sales are final unless something happens to the snake prior to shipment.
*All deposits are nonrefundable unless the snake dies prior to shipment (**this DOES NOT apply to nonfeeders, trouble feeders, or kinked snakes**). However, they may be applied to future purchases if you decide to no longer purchase the snake.
*25% of purchase price deposits are required on any established (3 meals) snakes that are not being shipped immediately. These deposits are nonrefundable and ensure that other customers do no miss out on purchasing a snake that is “on hold.”
*Customers on a waiting list will be given priority of choice. You will not be offered the choice until the babies have had 1 meal. Once contacted, you will have 3 days to make that choice before I move down the list. Deposit will not be required until 3 meals, but may be paid after the first meal.
*Snakes will be available to be “on hold” (claimed, but not reserved with a deposit) for a maximum of 5 days. If you cannot commit to a snake within that time by placing a deposit, the snake will be relisted as “available.” If you are able to place a deposit or make the full purchase prior to it being sold again, you will be able to do so.
*Deposits can allow you to have the snake held for up to 3 weeks. The snake needs to be paid in full and shipped out within that time frame. The only exception to this is emergency circumstances (which must be disclosed to us in a timely manner) or weather conditions. As a note, if you purchase multiple snakes, the pay in full date will be based on the youngest snake purchased. If you place a deposit and fail to either pay the remainder of price/shipping and/or organize a shipment date within a month’s time, your deposit will be absorbed, and the snake will be relisted. If you do, however, make the remainder of the payment after a month’s time, you will not be required to place a deposit again…the deposit will still go towards your final purchase price.
*Any wholesale sale of hatchlings must be paid for IN FULL immediately upon selection and having a price agreed upon. These must be shipped the next Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday following the day of purchase. The only exception to this will be if circumstances on our end, holidays, or weather on either end prohibits it. We will allow you to choose the most appropriate day, but the snakes must ship within the next week. (For example, if you make the purchase on a Tuesday, we won't force shipment Wednesday. You may choose to ship the following week).
*Any sale of an unestablished baby is done at the buyer's discretion. These snakes do not come with any guarantees of survival. We do not have an issue selling babies that aren't fully established as long as the buyer accepts the risks. Reduced pricing will be offered on these snakes and will increase with each subsequent feed that they take until they become fully established, at which point they will be marked at full price. Any unestablished baby that is being sold at a reduced price must be paid for immediately and shipped the next Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
*A buyer may choose to place a deposit on an unestablished snake. However, the buyer will have to agree to pay the new price(s) as it becomes established. If the baby becomes fully established (3+ meals, unassisted) prior to receiving full payment and shipping, the buyer will be expected to pay full price for the snake.
*We accept Cashapp, Zelle, Venmo, Facebook Messenger payment, or cash. I will consider check payments, but on very special circumstances only. Snakes will NOT be shipped prior to full payment being received.
*Trades may be offered and considered, but we do not make a practice of this and reserve the right to refuse trade and request monetary payment.
SHIPPING:
*All snakes are shipped via an approved, insured shipping company through FedEx, unless arranged differently by the buyer. It is at your own discretion and at your own risk to set up shipping through your own source.
*Snakes can be shipped anywhere within the continental United States. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the morph and/or species is legal in your own state. Any mistake made by the buyer on this part does not constitute a return of the purchase, shipping cost, or deposit.
*International shipping is not available at this time.
*All snakes are shipped FedEx Express overnight through an approved reptile shipping company. Shipping is available to leave here Monday for Tuesday delivery, Tuesday for Wednesday delivery, or Wednesday for Thursday delivery. This may also be adjusted through the buyer’s own shipping source at their discretion and risk.
*All snakes will be shipped in individual containers (deli cups, snake bags, etc.) unless otherwise discussed prior to shipping and only at the buyer’s choice. Snakes in deli cups will have paper towels to give them something to grip and prevent excessive jostling. Snakes in bags will be cushioned outside the bag by some sort of shipping material (this will vary). All containers will be cushioned by shipping material. We do have tiny cloth snake bags that will allow separation of hatchlings in a single deli if need be.
*Snakes will be shipped via the guidelines provided by the shipping company’s website. This will limit shipments in extreme hot or cold temperatures. Any snakes shipped in borderline hot temperatures will be shipped with the appropriate cold pack(s) to maintain healthy temperatures within the shipping box. We are willing to ship in colder temperatures, but do not use heat packs. It is our belief that it is better to ship snakes cooler and slowly warm them up than it is to risk overheating them with a heat pack.
*”HOLD FOR PICKUP” is available upon request. This may be used during questionable temperatures or for people who cannot be at home at the exact time of delivery and is to be requested at the buyer’s discretion. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the destination FedEx location is willing to hold the package. We will not guess which hub you would like to have a package shipped to. If you choose to have a snake held for pick up, it is your responsibility to let me know which specific one it is.
*Packages that are delivered and left outside a residence by the FedEx driver are not eligible for refund. We work with you to pick an appropriate day that you will be available to receive the package. If you are not home, you assume the risk of the snake being exposed to extreme temperatures, bad weather, or the package being tampered with by animals, people, etc.
HEALTH:
*All snakes sold are produced in house unless otherwise specified.
*All snakes, unless specified otherwise, are guaranteed to be feeding without assistance on frozen/thawed mice and/or rats.
*Any snake that is sold as a kinked snake, a nonfeeder, or a trouble feeder does not carry any guarantee of health, feeding, or live arrival. These snakes are offered at a discount price and are purchased at the buyer’s risk. (Exception: generally, a kinked snake is a solid feeder prior to being listed, however this will be labelled on case-by-case basis).
*All hatchling snakes (hatched the year of sale) are s*xed via popping. This method is fairly accurate. However, as with every s*xing method, it is NOT 100% guaranteed. All adult snakes are sold either being proven by breeding or were popped as hatchlings in house. Any subadult snake is s*xed visually if they have not bred and were not hatched here. Any snake that is questionable can have shed sent into Rare Genetics for the cost of their dna testing. The only 100% guarantee of s*x offered on snakes purchased from us is on snakes that have been bred in house.
*All adult snakes will be sold with breeding history disclosed, if applicable. We do NOT guarantee adult snakes’ breeding capabilities. All issues and details will be discussed prior to purchase (infertility, egg issues, bleeding during copulation, etc.) It is at your own discretion to purchase a snake for breeding.
*All snakes are sold as kink free unless labelled as *KINKED*. The nature of the kink will be described. Any snake not labelled as kinked is presumed to be kink free. However, this is not a 100% guarantee as some kinks can show up after time.
*All snakes are sold under the assumption that the buyer is aware of basic care requirements. Any lapse in care is not cause for refund and will be considered the buyer’s fault. We are here to help you and answer questions as needed, but we are not going to interview buyers to ensure proper care. We do, however, reserve the right to refuse sale of an animal if we have concern for its health (this is not limited to, but includes, bad BOI or Facebook reviews, peer reviews from trusted breeders, and lack of judgment exhibited by the buyer during conversation with us).
*Hatchling snakes listed for sale have had a minimum of 4 consecutive, unassisted meals - unless otherwise stated. These purchases are at your own discretion. If you want your snake to have had more meals prior to shipping, you may pay a deposit to have it held for up to 3 more weeks (this will ensure at least 3 more meals prior to shipping).
***These terms and conditions go into effect immediately as of September 1, 2022. These terms and conditions are subject to change, subtractions, and/or additions at any point in time. Any updated changes will be posted on the page to draw attention to these changes.***
