👁️🐾 Seeing Double… with Eye Patches! 🐾👁️

What do Sassy the pup and her favorite veterinary nurse Alyssa have in common? Matching eye patches! That’s right—both are rocking the one-eyed pirate look thanks to… corneal ulcers!

Corneal ulcers are no fun—they’re painful open sores on the eye’s surface. But with the right care and a little humor, these two are healing up together in style!

Sassy might be stealing hearts with her new “ruff” and tumble look, but she’s also reminding us all to keep an eye out (pun intended!) for symptoms like:
👁️ Squinting or blinking a lot
👁️ Red, watery eyes
👁️ Pawing at the face (for our furry friends)
👁️ Light sensitivity

If your pet shows any of these signs, don’t hesitate—visit your veterinarian. Early treatment is key!

🐶 Scoobert’s Check-Up Adventure! 🩺🐾

Guess who trotted into the clinic today, tail wagging and full of personality? It’s Scoobert! 🎉 This lovable pup came in to see Dr. Sekhon and his awesome vet nurse, Jordan, for his annual physical—because even the goodest boys need a check-up!

Why are yearly vet visits a must for our furry friends? Here’s the scoop from Scoobert himself:

🐾 “They make sure I’m healthy from nose to tail!” – Early detection of health issues keeps me feeling my best!
🐾 “I got my shots, and now I’m extra protected!” – Vaccines keep me safe from preventable diseases.
🐾 “They checked my weight (no judgment, please!)” – Staying at a healthy weight means more zoomies!
🐾 “My teeth got a once-over too!” – Good dental health = fresh breath for more kisses!
🐾 “No creepy crawlies for me!” – Parasite prevention keeps fleas, ticks, and heartworms away.

🌟Squish: The Brave, the Shy, the Itch-Free🌟

Meet Squish—our favorite nervous little nugget who tiptoes to the treatment area like she’s sneaking past security. She may be shy, but she’s got a heart of gold (and a weakness for treats). Every visit, she bravely faces her biggest challenge: getting love from her favorite veterinary assistants Jordan and Liz… oh, and her Cytopoint injection!

Cytopoint is a game-changer for dogs like Squish who struggle with itchy skin. It helps block the itch at the source, giving her long-lasting relief without the constant scratching. And while Squish might start her visit hiding behind mom or dad, by the time she leaves, she’s tail-wagging and ready for her next cuddle session (plus a few extra cookies for being so brave).

🐾 Fun Fact from the Vet World! 🐾

Did you know that a dog’s a**l glands are like their own personal “business card”? These tiny scent-producing glands are located near their rear and help dogs leave behind their unique “signature” when they p**p. 🐶💌

As funny as it sounds, dogs can also express these glands when they’re scared, which might explain that mystery smell after a trip to the vet or a thunderstorm! 😅 And yes, part of a vet’s glamorous life involves helping dogs out when these glands get clogged talk about a hands-on job! 🩺🐕

Here we have Jake and Elwood, they’re regulars here, and let me tell you they handle their business like pros. Coming in to get their a**l glands expressed isn’t glamorous, but Jake and Elwood show up with tails wagging and zero complaints (well, maybe a side-eye or two).
