It's been a long time coming!!!! Flor de Lis, "Fiona" and I are dipping our toes in a horse show this weekend!
It's GEC's last dressage show, sadly. And Fiona has been feeling confident enough to give it a go!
I'm so excited and a tiny bit nervous. But over-all I'm proud of how I've stuck to it.

I love this girl! I'm so grateful for our longtime friendship, over 30 years. I know she is always there for me even if we don't talk often! Lucky me, she is now bringing her niece for dressage coaching so I get to see her every week! And today she helped me with my mare Fiona today! Love you Gina Marie!!! (the other Gina)

I am proud of what I teach to all my students young and old.! I love to make thinking, problem solving riders!!!!
I texted my adult amateur student today, "Did u ride today?"
Her answer "I did ride and we had some moments and I rode through it and he let me ride him. Lots of circles and get off the leg get off that leg... I had my trainer brain on and schooled my position...he got better when I stayed my position we also had forward and a good trot to post! Did some turn on forehand then into canter...aborted left canter to right a couple times went on to other stuff came back to it and got it! He was on my aids towards the end of the ride."

This post is a little late, but Topline Training had a great turnout at our home barn, Greenville Equestrian Center! Avery earned her USDF Bronze medal on Jayne Tonowski's horse Fidalgo. Kelly and her horse Romeo did their first test EVER!!!! Jayne and Hastil showed their first Second level! And Carol Files showed her first 3rd level. Thank you Anja Ibsen for helping teach Topline Training students! And Thanks Erika for taking photos for us this weekend!

HIGHLY PATHOGENIC AVIAN INFLUENZA UPDATE: With the recent detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in backyard poultry and domestic turkey flocks in California as well as increasing numbers of wild waterfowl, we continue to ask that you please temporarily take down all bird feeders and empty or screen birdbaths and fountains. This will help minimize wild birds congregating and potentially spreading this highly contagious virus among themselves and to backyard poultry and domestic flocks. This is especially important during the current fall migration season, which runs through December. While songbirds are less susceptible to the virus than raptors, corvids (ravens, crows and jays), and quail, they can spread the virus via contaminated surfaces. We will alert the public on social media and our website when we feel it is appropriate to bring out bird baths and bird feeders. Great weekend at GEC Dressage show! Limerick shows PSG for the first time and Anja Ibsen's "Poppy" also shows PSG for the first time! Congrats to two of my favorite horses and riders! You girls have trained hard to get your horses to this level! Something to be proud of!
Limerick and Claire also earned HIGH POINT with their 69%. I couldn't be more proud of the two of them. (pictures of Poppy and Anja to come, Erika took them on her camera, I just did some fun portraits of them)
