Remember Soshi?🥰 The little puppy who was found alone on the street. Skin over bones, a body full of mange and a broken hind leg that was so painful that she could no longer stand on it. How hungry she was, how much pain she was and how much she needed loving care. Fortunately, she now receives this all at the Center of Hope. Her necessary operation, which was performed immediately, was successful and her decisiveness even more. This girl really has so much zest for life! We are all the more happy that she will travel with the Happy Bus to Holland in 2.5 weeks! Ready for a life of love, care and warmth! Exactly what she enjoys so much! 💝💝💝 Many thanks to everyone who contributed to her medical costs! Together we saved her life! 🫶 @

There goes little Mochi💞

He who was found on the street by Ovidiu Ștefan Țurlea during a spay campaign in Constanta. Skin over bones, and a body full of demodex. Rescuer Elvira took him to the Center of Hope where he immediately received all necessary medical care.

He recovered considerably well and quickly. But his coat still has a long way to go. The only thing missing was a lot of attention, love and his own comfy bed. But as you can see, he will soon be home!

When his adopter in Holland saw his cute little face she fell in love immediately. In no time his bed was ready and she could hold him in her arms! As if it's always been that way!🥰

Good luck Mochi! May you be completely recovered so you can enjoy many wonderful adventures together!🐾

❤️‍ Cutza update! She who, with all the trouble and sadness in her life, finally receives the medical help she has been needing for so long... thanks to you! How grateful we are for everyone who believes in our work, these underprivileged animals and our wonderful medical team. Day in, day out we are ready to make their world a little more beautiful! So is hers!🙏🏼 Now fingers crossed for a well and speedy recovery, so that she can soon go into her live her happily ever after!🐾

♥️Three of our Rescues together! Rescued on the same day, fought in the same week and now safe together with our dog hero!🥰 Do you recognize Una & Lilly!?🐾 Una who was found on the street, desperately searching for food in between the trash. Once she entered the hospital she had to fight babesia. Lilly, who overcame parvo and subsequently had to undergo surgery for a diafragmetic hernia. They have had to endure so much already. We are all the more happy that they survived and can now enjoy a dog's life as it should be!💕 Look at those tails 😍😍😍!

Nancy is progressing daily 😍. Thanks to your amazing support for her surgery and care she no longer is paralyzed💝💝. Let’s hope she continues to improve. Thank you Petra Pfeifer for your marvelous volunteering at RAR at Center of Hope helping these sweethearts💐

Our darling paralyzed girl, Nancy, who was found having been hit by a car and lying in the woods, had her MRI and it was discovered she had a fractured spine. She’s had surgery by bone specialist Dr. Petrisor Stefan at Center of Hope Hospital Romania. Please notice that she’s already able to move one hind leg following surgery 🥰🤩. Please keep her in your thoughts with hopes for a complete recovery💝

👀 Look at Quiby today at RAR at Center of Hope hospital 🤩. You’d never guess that this is the same dog who was brutally sexually molested with a cucumber and required surgery to remove it. What an inspiration she is for our hard work. I can’t imagine anyone being so trusting and forgiving as she is after the Hell she experienced. Bless you sweetheart ❤️❤️

Our Story

Founded after a hiking tour in Romania in 2001, Romania Animal Rescue Inc and our sister charity Animal Spay and Neuter International (UK) has now spayed and neutered approximately 80,000. Our main focus since 2008 has been spay and neuter.We invented the “spayathons” that provide for massive spay and neuter for communities. A “spayathon” is when 30 or more animals are spayed and neutered at one event. RAR also runs (as donations allow) the Homeless Animals Hospital project that is the first of it’s kind project in Romania. HAH allows for free or subsidized treatment for the animals that need it most and have no other means of help. RAR sponsors the Veterinary Training Camp to train more Romanian vets on safe spay/neuter techniques. We have also distributed 18,500 education books. We have mobile spayathons and provide veterinary care with the RAR Red Van, campaigns with our HOPE spaymobile, spayathons at Family Vet clinic in Craiova, and at the new Center of Hope (www.centerofhope.com) We also just started our village outreach project called “Vet Patrol” whereby our vets/techs drive through villages spotting animals that need care and vaccines, then providing that service and doing spays or providing vouchers for spaying. Please support our work. We can only do this mission of mercy for the Romanian animals with donations. www.romaniaanimalrescue.org $25 will spay or neuter a dog or cat. $8-$10 will provide a vaccine.
