Yesterday they arrived in Holland. Endless thanks to Stichting Le Woef 🌹🌹
Five more lucky dogs who were able to travel to the Netherlands at the very last moment 🥰.

Upon arrival they were completely confused after the long journey. No idea what was waiting for them. Four of them very old. Bono still scared and insecure. Blake & Sofa have spent their entire lives behind bars. They never knew freedom, let alone a warm, soft bed.

Almost impossible to imagine…
But just look at them enjoying themselves 💖.

These videos are always a joy to watch, but this time they are extra special.
Hopefully, in the new year, many more long-term seniors souls will get the same chance. That’s what we’re striving for!

For now, come and watch again soon! 🐾✨

The Veterinary Training Camp continues their mission:

I couldn't leave a review for some reason on the website ...

Alice Davies - North Wales

Volunteering at the neutering clinic at the Centre of Hope in Romania was an eye-opening and incredibly rewarding experience. The dedication of the veterinary team and support staff was inspiring; everyone worked with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to improving the stray population.

During my time there, I had the opportunity to assist pre-op, intra and post. The team provided excellent guidance and created an environment where I could learn while also contributing meaningfully. Their patience and willingness to explain everything made the experience educational as well as fulfilling.

What stood out most was the impact the clinic has on reducing stray animal populations and promoting responsible pet care. Every day, I whitenessed firsthand how much care and effort goes into giving these animals a better future. Being part of that mission, even for a short time, was incredibly rewarding.

I’m grateful for the skills I gained, the people I worked alongside, and the animals I was able to help. I would highly recommend volunteering at this clinic to anyone passionate about animals and looking for a hands-on, impactful experience

Our most beautiful girl Bubu is now an angel. We brought her home from Romania in 2011. She had been rescued by Cris Tina who found Bubu as a puppy with her eyes rolled back in her head. Apparently by a terrible blow.

To say Bubu was perfect would be an understatement. She dealt with the craziness of the various dogs and puppies (26 At one time), wonderful horses and chickens we had throughout the years.

The end of an era with her passing. Rest Peacefully Dearest. Daddy and Mommy will miss you eternally 😞😔💝

So small, yet so brave!
It’s unbelievable… In the few weeks she’s been in this world, she has already had to endure so much. But she made it through the night! 🥹✨ How wonderful is that!

From here on, hopefully only progress — getting stronger step by step. And honestly… isn’t she just adorable 💛🫶🏼

A huge thank you to everyone who supports her 💝

Meet Susie 💝. Just look at that little face

A little while ago she was brought in during a sterilization campaign. Her body was skinny. How long had she been starving? As small as she is, she had to see how to survive on the streets. Life can be so unfair to these vulnerable souls.

Luckily she was found in time. Meanwhile she is a bit reinforced, sterilized and completely ready for a future full of love. In a week she can travel. 🥰

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone 🍁🍁

Before & after 💖💖

It's always so special to see how some dogs completely bloom. So is Shakira, who was brought to Center of Hope two months ago with serious injuries. Just at the time we were there.

She hit us immediately and we were determined to help her. To our surprise, she recovered more quickly than expected and soon she was ready for a new life. We found her a fantastic owner, someone with whom she now goes on adventures every day!

He's letting us know:

"For two weeks I have Shakira from Romania. What an incredibly nice, sweet and loyal companion she is already! So faithful and full of love. From day one she was potty trained, not destructive, does not pull on the leash and is cheerful, sociable with other dogs and sweet to the cats I already had. At the beginning, the cat looked something out of the tree, but of course, that's allowed when your life starts anew with an unknown boss. She thinks walking is fantastic; in the forest she enjoys it to the fullest. She is a huge enrichment of my life as a pensioner. So dear people: adopt, they are so worth it! ”

And that's exactly how it is! More than that, if you ask us. You were so lucky, dear Shakira. Enjoy everything that comes your way! 💞

While many of us were sitting nice and cozy in our homes, our ⭐️ Ovidiu Ștefan Țurlea was out catching dogs to prevent them from ever giving birth to more unwanted offspring 💝💝. In total 7 females were brought to RAR at Center of Hope for spaying by Ovidiu, along with 52 others 🌹💝 from today’s campaign 🥳

Our Story

Founded after a hiking tour in Romania in 2001, Romania Animal Rescue Inc and our sister charity Animal Spay and Neuter International (UK) has now spayed and neutered approximately 80,000. Our main focus since 2008 has been spay and neuter. We invented the “spayathons” that provide for massive spay and neuter for communities. A “spayathon” is when 30 or more animals are spayed and neutered at one event. RAR also runs (as donations allow) the Homeless Animals Hospital project that is the first of it’s kind project in Romania. HAH allows for free or subsidized treatment for the animals that need it most and have no other means of help. RAR sponsors the Veterinary Training Camp to train more Romanian vets on safe spay/neuter techniques. We have also distributed 18,500 education books. We have mobile spayathons and provide veterinary care with the RAR Red Van, campaigns with our HOPE spaymobile, spayathons at Family Vet clinic in Craiova, and at the new Center of Hope (www.centerofhope.com) We also just started our village outreach project called “Vet Patrol” whereby our vets/techs drive through villages spotting animals that need care and vaccines, then providing that service and doing spays or providing vouchers for spaying. Please support our work. We can only do this mission of mercy for the Romanian animals with donations. www.romaniaanimalrescue.org $25 will spay or neuter a dog or cat. $8-$10 will provide a vaccine.
