Hello PAK Mates!

Once again I'm coming to you to ask for your help to find a home for a sweet dog in a desperate situation. His situation is especially dire given the extreme heat wave. Please read the below and share with anyone you think may be interested.

RONAN is a 4-year-old Pitbull who fell into a very sad (and dangerous) situation. In short, both of his owners have passed within the past year. Unfortunately, since they didn't have a plan for the dog's care after their passing, a "roommate" has taken responsibility for the dog but doesn't have time or patience to deal with the dog. As a result, she leaves the dog outside almost 24/7, even in the extreme heat. A few good neighbors noticed the dog outside and stepped in to offer some assistance. They fear that the local shelter would likely euthanize RONAN immediately due to his breed and being overcrowded.

A few details about RONAN:
- 4-year-old male, approx 75 lbs
- Neutered
- Current on vaccinations
- House/Potty trained
- Playful and happy dog, but needs some guidance and patience
- Medium-High energy but will calm with routine and structure
- Needs DAILY exercise (like any young, healthy dog)
- Walks well on a leash
- Very smart and trainable. Knows basic commands.
- Friendly with dogs on play dates and in dog parks.
- Needs a person with experience handling larger dogs.
- Will thrive in an environment with strong, consistent leadership and structure.
- Very strong and plays hard. Not at all "aggressive" but will especially require strong leadership and clear boundaries if there are other pets or small children in the home.
- Has developed some anxiety due to the turmoil of the past few months. Will need a stable, loving, and attentive environment.
- Ideal home has no other pets or small children, and at least one person who works from home and has an active lifestyle.

As a bonus, the "good neighbors" have arranged (and paid for) a certified dog trainer to provide training services to the new foster or adopter for up to 8 weeks as RONAN gets settled into his new home.

C'mon, PAK Mates! Let's find this adorable pup a home!

"Captain Hook" was rescued at 2-3 weeks old after being rejected by his momma. He's a "special" dog with only 2 toes on one of his front paws. But don't worry, this doesn't hurt his happy spirit or mobility. At the rescue, he was put with another older litter to learn some puppy ways. Now he's running, jumping and playing! He also has a clean bill of health with no noticeable limitations despite the missing toes. This little guy is confident, adventurous, and good with other dogs of all sizes and loves kids. He is 100% food motivated and a smart boy. He is now almost 10 weeks and requires a breed-experienced home that accepts him with his quirks and all of his perfect imperfections.
