Luca was a day away from euthanasia in an overcrowded shelter before he and his three siblings landed in a foster home. His siblings have since been adopted and he, too, would LOVE to get out of hot, sticky Texas and experience a true snowy winter. We don’t often post about the HOOF part of ETHAP, but today was vet day for everyone including the resident rescue horses 🐴 Everyone got their yearly coggins, shots, teeth floats and dewormed with a clean bill of health! We’re gonna change up the diet for a couple of them and start getting them back to work soon!

We have a happy update for you this Friday!! Sloane was SHOT not once, but twice last week, causing her to have a fractured pelvis and a tear in her urethra! She is receiving top notch care with her foster mom whom is an employee at our specialist clinic! She has started taking shorty walks and is really proving she’s a true fighter!! 🚨 Rescue in Progress: Urgent Help Needed 🚨‼️‼️Graphic photo in comments‼️‼️We received a heartbreaking call this evening — a sweet pup was shot in the leg as far as we know, in Cleveland, Texas. She’s currently being rushed to Vergi 24/7 Animal Hospital for immediate care. We’re calling her Sloane, a name that means “fighter,” because she’s already showing us how strong she is. 💪Please send your prayers, good thoughts, and any support you can for Sloane as she fights to recover. We’re committed to giving her all the love and care she needs on her road to healing. We will update as we hear more from our friends at Vergi!
