When I say we meet some of the coolest people, I really mean it. We went out to Agape Farm and met some of the coolest people. They are having a fundraiser next Saturday the 27th. Vendors and people just wanting to go out should join it. They even have a local blacksmith coming out to show his trade! It was a really good day. Met someone new today who messaged me a little while ago and asked if I was taking new clients. I really do love what I do and the really amazing people I get to meet along the way. It's all uphill and I'm looking forward to the future 🥰 picture of my knee pad after a big qh was standing on it for comfort.

Progress ! First trim vs 9 or 10 trim! She's a stay fat on air mustang cross mare, not other issues. Owner said she's standing square and even standing wider in her back end. Sound on their rock driveway. These are the little things that make me happy 😀 she's on a 4 week trim cycle and has about 5 acres to roam around on.

Here's a good one for yall .... meet John Wayne (we've had him since he was born) he is officially the new farrier cat ...... Georgia snuck him in the car. Got to Bedias and he went outside and stayed next to her the entire time lol. Totally was chill the entire day with us, 3 different stops. We also made sure any dogs present, would be okay with him wondering around.

A few recent jobs. 1 horse is rode lightly (bay horse) , while the others are pasture puffs. Oh and the mini Zebu. Just put the halter on her and she flops over lol the rope is just to make sure she doesn't kick Nick on accident. She usually lays still for us to get the job done quickly. Reorganizing the back of the van. Gonna have to upgrade again. Getting quite the collection of stuff. Probably stuff I don't need, but there's always that one chance I'll need if 🤣 here's to an amazing 2023!! I am looking forward to 2024 and rhe amazing things that will happen! We have some upgrades that are in the makings for 2024 😀

It's that time again. We finally get some moisture and the hoof starts to shed the excess sole and frog. Sometimes it needs help, but for the most part it sheds most of it out on its own. I don't know about some farriers, but to me, this is the best part. It's satisfying when it comes out in big pieces.

Teaching them young 🥰 So thankful to have such nice ponies for the kids to learn on. Aspen was learning the importance of balancing the foot, and how to check for it. Josie got brave and started picking feet. Anyone that knows her, knows she is a little more cautious about picking up feet. Georgia, is well Georgia. She helped clean feet because they were to hard to nip 🤣 Tripp wanted to help, but he's still too small. I love my little crew and love my clients for letting the kids learn on their ponies.

I cannot express this enough. Donkeys are stoic and I have seen some that have foundered but never showed signs until it was too late. They should at least have a farrier ( who is willing and has a set up to get them looked at if they are wild) at least once a year. That is what I believe should happen. I have some donkeys who are on a 6 week cycle because they do grow faster and that is probably due to what they are getting.
