๐Ÿšจ Wide load alert! ๐Ÿšจ Margieโ€™s waddling her way toward motherhood, with her calving ETA set somewhere between March and June. Sheโ€™s one of our top producers and an OG member of the Mills Ranch crewโ€”basically, the queen of the herd.

Here at Mills Ranch, every cow gets the VIP treatment. I personally check on them multiple times a day, so they probably think Iโ€™m just another member of the herd by now. This keeps everyone healthy, happy, and calm, so when itโ€™s time to work them, itโ€™s more โ€œsmooth operationโ€ than โ€œwild west showdown.โ€ Happy cows, happy rancher!

Feeding the herd in the working pens today! We make it a priority to condition our cattle to move through the working pens regularly, which helps them stay calm and reduces stress. Over time, they get used to the routine and can often navigate the pens on their own. This frequent exposure creates a low-stress environment thatโ€™s beneficial for everyone involved.

As a mama of two, having gentle, calm, and happy cows is absolutely essential to our program. I often have a kid or two on my hip while working with the cattle, so creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere is a must. Keeping our cattle comfortable isnโ€™t just about their healthโ€”itโ€™s about making sure everyone, including my little ones, stays safe and stress-free. Plus, low-stress handling leads to healthier cattle, better weight gain, and higher-quality meat. Itโ€™s a win-win all around!

Save money buying bulk beef & get steak for half the cost than you do in store! All our beef is grass fed grain finished, and live life the way theyโ€™re supposed to on large improved pasture. All steers will be finished on grain for at least 120 days before processing.

We are offering eighths, quarters, halves, and whole steers for 2025.
