Quite a few irons in the fire over here at MLM. Lots of finish work going on with current dry mounts, tine repairs, euros, artificial skull work, and some fresh mounts on the book this weekend. Working through everything as quickly as I can and I’ll get back to posting some pictures when I get a break in my schedule. Talk to y’all soon!

Shoulder mount customers- I am picking up the last batch of hides from this seasons drop offs today. My GOAL is to have everyone’s mounted by the end of June. Please give me a little wiggle room on that and try to remember this is a one woman show along with being a full time mom and having to work around my husbands schedule. 🤪

If you haven’t already, please get with me soon to confirm how you want your deer mounted so I can get your forms ordered.
This is also a great time to send me reference pictures or game camera pics of your deer that will help me to create a better resemblance of his original appearance.

Euro customers- I have about 25 skulls in the degreasing stage and will be whitened soon. I hope to have all of those back to y’all by the end of next month! Thank y’all for your patience.

New year, new name! 🥳 🦌

J&M Taxidermy was to be temporary until I came up with something worth keeping which ended up taking a few years. Since taxidermy school I have pondered a few but nothing I ever came up with was meaningful enough to stick until my son came along. That will make sense here in a second.

After doing this thing for three years I have quickly realized my favorite part of my job is mounting a kids first deer. Their excitement is unmatched. My goal is each time they look at the mount of their first deer they take a trip down memory lane of the hunt with their dad, grandpa, uncle, or other loved one who took them under their wing for their first deer. That’s where “Memory Lane” comes from and I wanted to go with something other than Taxidermy to be different, leading me to come up with the new name Memory Lane Mounts. Here’s the kicker. MLM are my sons initials and I knew I wanted to incorporate him in it somehow. After all he’s the reason behind mamas hustle!

I wanted something other than your usual clipart for a logo so I reached out to Brett with Rocking 5C Ranch Design for a hand sketched special and he brought my idea to life. On the buckle is my husbands deer to the right which was my first deer to mount out of taxidermy school. The deer on the left is “Split” my bow kill from a couple of years ago and biggest deer to date so he earned a special place on the logo as well.

Last but not least. Genesis 27:3 is an inspiring hunting verse that I felt needed to be included.
I believe we are here to spread the word of God and we are given skills to help us in that effort. I wouldn’t be where I’m at in life without him and I feel like he can use me through the many customers I associate with through my taxidermy work.

I know this will take some getting use to for my regulars, but I hope you guys love it. Happy New Year!

Hey folks! Hope everyone has had a good season as it starts to close in. I’m planning another trip to the tannery mid next week to drop off another batch. If you have one in the freezer you need mounted get it to me before next week so I can have it caped out for my next drop off. 🦌

I am so thankful for the best customers.

We are headed to get a little woods therapy ourselves so the last day I will be available for drop offs is tomorrow 11/22. I’ll resume after the weekend on 11/27. If you have anything to bring me in between those dates just put in the freezer and we will make arrangements after the holiday. Hope everyone enjoys their time with family & friends!

Thank you past and present customers who have spread the word about me! I’ve been blessed to take in a pretty good work load so far this season. I haven’t been advertising much because I prefer word of mouth. I’m very grateful for the amount of work I’ve been brought through referrals.

From what I’ve already received from bow season and youth weekend alone it looks like the deer have been on the move! These guys are getting caped out and I’m already planning a trip to the tannery next week.

If we have talked about meeting up for one you have in the freezer please get with me this week so I can add yours in the first batch of the year dropped off at the tannery and get you a quicker turnaround before the rush of rifle season kicks off.

Now offering payment plans! After leaving a deposit at the time of drop off you have the option of paying the remainder at pick up, or pay on your mount over the duration of time I have it at the shop.

They are starting to roll in. Get with me while my turnaround is 6 months or less!

The countdown to bow season begins!

Due to another increase in material cost across the board I’m having to bump up as well this year.
European mounts 120
Shoulder mounts 750
On shoulder mounts a deposit of 250 secures your spot in line. This covers tanning and goes toward some material cost. Surprise! It actually costs me money to mount these guys. Some people think mounting deer is a magic trick and I get to pocket the full price. If you knew how much I actually profit you’d probably question why I even do it so please be mindful of that with the new prices this year. Also, these are whitetail prices. Please pm for a full price sheet.
