Just because an animal is venomous, doesn't mean it deserves to die! Please respect our wildlife, including the ones that aren't defenseless. 🐍

It is officially baby snake season! 🐍 Our area is in the range of both venomous cottonmouths and copperheads, both of which give birth to live young in the late summer or early fall. Due to their similarly bold markings and neon colored tail, they frequently get confused for one another. If you run across any of these stunning little guys, remember to give them space and admire from a distance! πŸ’š And if you need any relocated, don't hesitate to reach out!

This grumpy lil guy was NOT happy to leave his cozy corner up under these folks' refrigerator! He let me know such with a couple little love bites during the process. 😜 Rat snakes are completely harmless to humans, with their bites only needing a quick washing with antibacterial soap & water. As for the feeling, a scratch from a playful kitten is more painful than a rat snake bite. 😸 After a short trip in the bucket and some calming down, he was released in a safe, nicely wooded area nearby.

This is a reminder to myself to take more "after" photos! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I just get caught up in the moment and forget all about it. This little baby rat snake had himself a few little baby birds for lunch today. πŸͺΉπŸ He was only about 14" long and absolutely stuffed! I moved him from a very kind lady's porch out to her back yard. She had asked me to take him far away at first, but after a quick talk about the benefits of having him close, she was happy to let him stick around. 🫢🏼

Got to move this beautiful, healthy rat snake today! We're at Sinclair for the weekend camping, but our neighbors had a slithery visitor. 🐍 I may have gotten a bit greasy and took some insulation to the face, but I saved these ladies from having to drive home tonight because they saw a snake go up in their camper! πŸ˜†

My first removal!! πŸπŸŽ‰ This little copperhead was hanging out in a backyard over in the Wesleyan area. The awesome homeowners had already made the job super easy for me. While I don't ever recommend moving or handling any venomous or unknown species of snake, they had already carefully trapped it inside a large outdoor storage bin so it couldn't escape. It only took me a few moments to get him safely bagged and bucketted, and the homeowners were able to get right back to their yard work with their sweet little pooch! I didn't think to take any pictures prior to the removal, so thanks to the homeowners for snaping this quick photo of me while I was focused on the snake. After a quick car ride, it was safely released into a densely wooded area nearby to lessen the chance of spreading any diseases between snake populations. Thanks to James of Houston County Georgia Snake Removal & Relocation for the lead and for lighting the fire beneath me to get me started!

🐍 Active snake season is in full effect here in Central Georgia. I personally have quite the soft spot for these misunderstood critters, so I was recently certified to handle and relocate them! This includes both venomous and non-venomous species. Snakes sometimes wind up in pools, cars, garages, etc, and may need a hand to find their way out. Far too often, fear and other misconceptions lead to these innocent animals meeting a horrible fate. My goal is to help save the lives of as many of our local snakes as I can. So, fellow Lake Tobo neighbors, if you happen to have a snake in need of relocating, please contact me! I prefer to be contacted initially via FB messenger or text.

⚠️ Before contacting me, please remember:
Stay calm! While venomous snakes can be extremely dangerous, they mean you no harm. If you encounter a venomous snake (or are unsure if it's venomous or not), keep distance and don’t attempt to move or kill it. If it is not an immediate threat to you or any pets, just let it be. It will move along eventually. You can also give it a little spray with a water hose from a safe distance to encourage it to move along. If it absolutely must be moved, and/or is in some sort of distress (stuck, injured, etc), message/text me with as many details as possible so I'm sure to have appropriate tools for the situation. ***Also, please remember this is a free service I'm providing. I can't guarantee the removal of a snake that I can't catch or get to. If a job is too big or grueling for me to handle, I may recommend another relocator or possibly a professional company.

⚠️ If you are also a local relocator, please let me know so I can recommend you in case I'm not available or in need a second hand. If you are a local rehabilitator, please let me know in case I run across an animal that needs some extra help and/or medical assistance.
