We only take in dogs from the Llano City Shelter/Animal Control. We do not take relinquishments or dogs outside of the Llano city limits. WE HAVE NO CAT FACILITIES

If you need assistance with cats in the Llano city limits, please contact Llano Animal Control. For feral cat help, contact Hill Country Cats call 830-598-9883 and leave a message.

Dallas our beautiful older girl that came in after being attacked and severely injured ....
Who so many of our generous donors helped her on the way to a complete recovery...

She now has a WONDERFUL new home!

We ALL know it's that soup-y time of the year, y'all! 🍲🤤

Order up some soup from Llano Animal Rescue and feed two birds with one seed...or feed some hungry human bellies, anyway, while you help one of the busiest and most necessary entities in town.

ANTLERS ARE AWESOME 🐾

We are so thankful to Luke Mueller - he spent 41 hours (along with help from his troop) on his Eagle Scout project to prepare antlers for our dogs. He used dropped antlers from his family’s acreage to work on them & prepare them to be safe and fun for dogs to chew on.

Luke & his Mom Elizabeth delivered the finished product of well over 100 antlers as a donation to Llano Animal Rescue. They met each of our great dogs and gave them antlers & affection - the picture shows Luke with his new best friend, our sweet Rescue pup Duke 💕

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your creativity & caring. We really appreciate you Luke, your family, and your Scout troop.

It was a good day!!! Our girls Raven and Rayn
had a vet visit/ check up @ PECAN VET with Dr. BIBB today! They are coming along well!
Rayn has gained a bit over 2 lbs and Raven over 3!!!
At the age of 5/6 months they are still horrible under weight and need of special care BUT improving EVERDAY!♡
Vet/special care will continue until they are completely recovered.

I KNOW YOU GUYS REMEMBER TIGGER♡
HOW COULD YOU FORGET THIS BEAUTIFUL FACE!
Tigger has now been at Llano Animal Rescue over a year :(
As has been Tex and Henry.
Tig can't help the way truly bad people raised him.
He is one of most Loving playful boys needing your companionship so desperately.
He was raised that other Dogs were to be a challenge to him.
Some People can be so selfish.
He's truly a great companion for a one pup family. House trained, loving and very well behaved.
He will need a secure back yard and lots of Love
If you will please consider adopting or fostering Tig it would be a TRUE BLESSING!

Please be aware its tough out there....there's MORE
And it just never ends :(
Over crowded as we all are.
A bit out of the realm of our Norm but....
County is full and could only take 3 of the six....they too are overwhelmed.
Could'nt let them just stay out there♥︎ So we will care for them until Monday. Thank you volunteers.
Another Fabulous, larger, Loving rescue will be taking them in♡
Thank you SANDY HUEY an amazing rescuer who saved these pups and coordinated♡♡♡
So many great people out there despite what's happening with the over population dumping and abuse!
