Closed- thank you all for the years of love from your fur children, I will miss every single one. Due to recent circumstances I no longer will be grooming. I will do my best to honor the ones up until the end of this month, I will still do pup nails, but full grooms are done. I am truly sorry, this post breaks my heart for so many reasons

I am going to have Anya and grey double check my list. I groom over 500 pets (actually closer to 750), which is crazy to me, and I can in no way get them all in. These are mostly the pets that 1. Owners show on time and work with my schedule
2. Owners come right back or wait outside so I don’t have to babysit them and get put behind
3 pets are ones I can do alone or with minimal help.
4 pets are friendly and I don’t have to worry about hurting myself grooming them and possibly being off work.
5 pets that I’ve been grooming that I don’t think would do well in an actual grooming environment with other pets
Seeing as I am only grooming 3-5 dogs a week, even this list may have to get shortened, not because I want to, but because physically I do not have the time available. If your pet isn’t on this list, that does not mean I will NEVER do it, it does mean that you aren’t guaranteed a spot like the pets on this list. (Tomorrow we will go over this list again and see if we missed anyone)

I haven’t forgotten those that need their pets groomed. I am currently not feeling well, and unsure when I’ll be grooming again (past the scheduled pups IF I am up to them, and if i have to cancel them, they will get first dibs at being put back in) if your fur kid is in dire need, please go to another groomer, it’s better than waiting for me, if they are matted or way over due. The ones of you with pets that can wait 2-8 weeks feel free to reach out in a week or so to let me know your kids need done. I can do nails still, that takes very little time and I won’t over do myself. I am sorry, but I need to prioritize getting myself better. If your pup, cat, guinea pig, or rabbit just needs nails, pads, or those easy 5 minute things, you can message and I will try to get them in. I do feel bad telling people to go elsewhere, but at this point, some of your kids are so over due that it’s not fair to wait for me, to them.

Haven’t forgotten to contact people, Dr recheck Friday, If I feel better before then I’ll reach out, if not, it will be after that until I schedule anyone. Going to TRY to keep the appointments I made this week, but be forewarned if work drains me, I will not be grooming.

So I had someone make a fb appointment, then yell at me as I wasn’t home yesterday at their appointment to groom their Bernese mountain dog… I’ve never met this dog before first of all. Second of all, I have never and will never use FB appointments to schedule your pets. I currently have ZERO appointments from now until after April 8th (and wait list on that week and the following and the following) so idk when I can get anyone in, and will not be grooming ANY new clients.

I understand that it’s harder to get an appointment and far less convenient.. I will no longer be scheduling anyone that’s going to be mean… I am scheduled 8.5 hours a day at work, then groom pets around that, making some days 12 hours long for me, not including the barn and all that…. And to those that demand to be scheduled on my days off, do you like having ZERO days off? I can not help if they change my schedule, I can not help if someone calls off and I am there for much longer than expected. I will still continue to groom around my work schedule, but if you feel that I MUST cater to you, and you have the right to be mean or demanding, I am honestly asking you to find another groomer. I will miss your pet, but I do not deserve to be your emotional kicking bag, because you can’t have the exact day and time as this is back to being strictly hobby, no longer is it my main source of income.

If your pet is due or over due, please do not hesitate to text me and ask about them, trying to find my new balance and I sometimes forget to text or I put them in as potential appointments but forget to message after work

New year brings many new things. I will be taking on more hours at my place of employment. I will still groom the pets that can schedule around my new work schedule AND come regularly. I will not be doing any pets that are new to me, come to me matted each groom, or are too much for me to handle without help. If you don’t have any leniency in your schedule to work around mine, I do understand, I can send you an email or text with your pups exact grooming directions. My new hours start January 5. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause some of you, but I have had too many cancellations, no shows, or people that wrote down the wrong day, to continue the way I’ve been doing.
