Good afternoon, wonderful clients!

We have been getting a lot of questions recently and feel that it is time to let you know that Dr. Piatt will be out of the office for the next 3 months.

He is fine so there is nothing to worry about but he will not be seeing patients until late July.

Our other doctors will be seeing our patients Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.

Elderly, neutered male chihuahua.

No collar, no chip.

Found at Harvey Park in Galt on 3/11/24.

He is safe and secured. Please contact me to identify.

***UPDATE- SAMMY'S OWNER HAS BEEN LOCATED***

Hello Friends.

This morning a one of our clients found this dog on the side of the road. He is not chipped or neutered. He looks young and very friendly but doesn't know any commands yet. I have tried reaching out to animal control and they are unable to take him. The shelter is closed today, and we are unable to keep here at our hospital. Does anyone recognize him?

I do apologize for the bad pictures he doesn't sit still.

This girl was found running down Highway 12 in front of our clinic. She has a collar but no tags, and is not microchipped. Please contact our clinic at 209-334-1819 if you recognize her. Share this post so we can get this little lady home!

**UPDATE**
Her family has been located and she has been reunited with them this morning.

This is a perfect reminder to microchip your pets and keep some form of identification with a collar on them. Luckily, she made it home. But there are pets who are not as fortunate!

Found near Arata Rd in Stockton. Let’s get this baby home to their family!

National Vet Tech Week is always a great reason to appreciate your veterinary staff! We have a great team from our receptionists, to our technicians and our doctors!
Vet techs have a very important role in our hospital and caring for your pets! With vet tech week coming to an end, we would like to take a moment to appreciate our staff who are typically behind the scenes. Deanna, Maggie, Kelley, Chantelle and Nicki are amazing technicians and provide our patients with the best care!

**UPDATE**
The Sheriffs have finished their investigation. We have cleaned the hospital and it is now safe to move forward and see our patients.

Fortunately for us they did not get ahold of anything valuable, and they also didn't leave too big of a mess for us to clean. Unfortunately for them, they left behind fingerprints and a few other things.

Good morning, everyone. We will not be seeing clients or able to answer calls this morning due to our hospital being broken into, robbed, and vandalized early this morning. We are currently waiting for law enforcement to complete their investigation and will update you as soon as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

This morning when our staff arrived at the clinic we had a HUGE surprise! Someone left 9 kittens and an adult cat outside our building during the night.

We are in desperate need of foster homes asap!

It is with a heavy heart that we let all of you know, that we recently said our final goodbyes to one our hospital cats. Ted was very loved by many. His sassy personality and Ted-itude is very missed by all of our staff here at Vineyard Vet. He is especially missed by Binx, you may see her interacting with you at the reception counter more than before, looking for a shoulder to lay on.

Dental health is more overlooked than other medical things with our pets. Majority of the time we see animals for dental disease after the disease process has become moderate to severe. Dental disease can cause many other problems in our furry friends. Though it may seem difficult, we encourage our pet owners to brush their pet's teeth. It is also very beneficial to schedule routine cleanings starting at a young age!

Dental health is an important part of a pet's overall health. A pet's teeth and gums should be checked at least once a year by a veterinarian.

UPDATE: This program is now closed as funding has been depleted. If you have already submitted to the Google Form, you will receive reimbursement. Congratulations to the many pet cats whose lives just got a little better!

EDIT: We want to be very transparent that this is for PET cats, not community or feral cats that must be trapped and taken to vet/clinic in a trap. There are other programs for these cats; this program is to specifically benefit pet cats and their owners. Need info for feral and community cat programs? Private message us.

Purrfectly Pawsible Spay/Neuter Reimbursement Program* will be available for eligible surgeries performed during 3/1/22-5/1/22 or until funding is depleted.

This little old lady was just found running on E Hwy 12 in Lockeford near our clinic. Do you recognize her? If so, please call 209-334-1819.

If the owner is not found today she will be cared for by one of our staff over the weekend.
