Locally produced pork, beef and eggs for sale. The Schlund Family Farm is a family owned, locally run, small farm located in Spotsylvania County.

Todd and Jody Schlund are sole proprietors and care for all the chickens, goats, sheep, cattle and hogs by hand every day - while providing the animals sun, shade, shelter and fresh air. Todd and Jody were raised on farms in South Dakota and lived in many different locations throughout over 20 years of Marine Corps active-duty service. Once retired they settled down in Locust Grove, Virginia and w

Good Evening Farm Family!!! Hope all of you and your Loved Ones had a wonderful weekend!!!

We had some Folks request turkeys - but have failed to respond back to us - therefore we have five birds in stock for those that are interested.

I will always humbly offer that I am nothing special and am one of God's wandering children - so I hope this doesn't come across as boastful - but these gobblers are really nice.

Our turkeys were raised from baby chicks - hand fed - hand watered - with plenty of room to roam. We processed each one by hand too - so the birds are not all beat-up. We allowed them to rest in cool water for 48 hours prior to bagging them up and putting them in the freezer - so they should be nice and tender also.

The turkeys are around ~25 pounds each (give or take a little bit) and they are symmetrical with good texture - along with good meat and fat content and balance.

We are charging a flat $125.00 per turkey - which obviously comes out to around ~$5.00 per pound.

We are offering the turkeys on a first come-first served basis and we can't do holds - I start Day Shift for my flying gig this week so I am already slammed.

I was even Blessed to have my Granddaughter Maddy help me finish processing today!!!
