This sweetheart is Pretty Girl! She was seen by the vet today and she has a huge hernia. They need to get this fixed ASAP but need the funds to cover it. We are trying to help and raise the money needed. We need to raise $700 so she can get the repairs and find her forever home. She is the sweetest girl and deserves a second chance at life!! We want to say thank you to Giving With Grace Foundation. Thanks to them we were able to pay for 25 babies at Stanly County Animal Protective Services to be spayed and neutered so they can be adopted or rescued. This is a huge help for the shelter.

Someone has been practicing his ASPCA look! This big handsome guy is Harley. He is a 2 yr old Shar Pei mix. This big guy loves to cuddle and loves his humans. Harley is one of the sweetest we have ever met. He is the perfect dog. Great with other dogs, owner said he is house trained and good with kids. Black dogs get overlooked a lot in shelters and I don’t understand why! Most of them are not only sweet but they are super smart. ‼️🚨ADOPTED 🚨‼️

Rex needs an adopter or a rescue! He has been with us a long time and deserves his forever home. Rex was abandoned and left in an apartment with 2 other dogs to fin for themselves. They ended up busting out a window in order to survive. Rex is a sweetheart who does well with other dogs with proper introduction. Rex has been failed so many times by humans and we don’t want to fail him. We are starting to see a change in Rex and need to get out of the shelter environment asap. 🚨‼️FUNDS NEEDED‼️🚨

Meet Aubrey! This precious little girl came into Stanly County Animal Protective Services last Wednesday by a very sweet and caring farmer. She had gotten up in a tractor without them knowing. When the worker started the tractor her arm was taken off. They immediately got in touch with the vet. They discussed pain, chances and quality of life. After checking her out good they soon realized this little lady was fighter and wanted to live. They got orders from the vet and started pain meds and then cleaned her up really well. The vet cleaned everything out and got the dead areas off on Thursday. They decided to wait until Tuesday 5/21 to do the surgery to remove the rest of the arm. Aubrey was strong but just not strong enough to have surgery so soon. So while the shelter is looking for a rescue they need to raise the funds to get this surgery done that will help her heal and let her enjoy the rest of life. So we asking that you please donate! If you can’t donate we completely understand. You can help Aubrey by sharing and praying. So today we found about this guy! This is Will who is a sweet boy who came in as feral but is very sweet now just on his terms. He was shot by someone and it shattered his leg. Will is currently at Stanly County Animal Protective Services. They have 3 options 1-amputate the leg, which is $1,000-$1,500 2-give pain meds and see if it heals. Problem with that is that he could simply land on that leg wrong and it would snap. 3-Euthanasia and that is simply not an option. Will needs $1,500 and an adopter that understands he is not going to be a cuddler. Please like and share our post to get this sweet guy fixed.

Our first project to raise funds for Stanly County Animal Protective Services is to work on getting the feral cat population in Stanly County down. Our friends at SCAPS work very hard to find feed mills, farms, barns or other places for these feral cats to go. BUT in order to do this they need the money to pay for these cats to be fixed and get their vaccines. On average (thanks to some grants that the clinics receive) it cost $50-$60 per cat to get them completely vetted. So if you would like to sponsor a feral or even give $5 to help out there are a couple ways you can donate. You can click on the link, or call Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital and tell them you want to donate to the shelters bills, or mail a check to the shelter or stop by the shelter with cash. Sometime a rescue needs to back up and punt. We are changing our mission. With not being able to find fosters and life changes we will no longer be taking in dogs or cats. POP will be working with our local shelter Stanly County Animal Protective Services to raise money for bigger ticket items they need. Or for emergency vetting they may need. So watch our page and once we get set up we will start posting needs. In the meantime we will start sharing all the animals at the shelter. Please share our page!

We really need a great accountant that would be willing to give their time to handle the money part of this venture. So if you would like to donate your time or know someone that would please let us know.

**UPDATE** Our little Hunter girl had to have emergency surgery. Once they got in there they found a hand towel. We are unsure of how long long it had been in there but it did irreversible damage to her intestines. The most humane thing to do was help her cross over the rainbow bridge. If only her owners would have taken her in at the first sign of trouble she could have been saved. But she crossed over knowing what true love is. Thank you to everyone who gave to help her.

Sweet Hunter is still hanging in there! She is a fighter. She was dehydrated and very weak. She still does not want to eat, but they were able to get her to eat a little chicken. So she is on fluids, IV antibiotics, and meds to help heal her stomach. Her bill at the end of today was over $500 so please keep sharing!

This sweet girl is at our local shelter Stanly County Animal Protective Services and needs our help! She has been admitted to Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital and needs to stay over night! So we want to help her recover. Please consider donating even if it is $5. There a few ways to donate.

*UPDATE-the little fighter was taken to Bear Creek this morning where the leg was amputated and the litter and mom were checked out! All are doing well. Thank you so much to all who donated, liked, and shared.

These 2 sweet babies, their 2 siblings and mom came into the shelter today. All four babies were all tangled together by their umbilical cords. These 2 had them tangled around their legs. They need to go to the vet ASAP. The vet is thinking the one on the left will have to have its leg amputated and the other is questionable! We want to help this precious family have a chance. ***UPDATE: unfortunately this sweet baby had been in bad shepherd for a long time. It was so bad they couldn’t tell if it was a boy or girl. So we went with what the vet recommended and let the baby cross over the rainbow bridge. He/she now has peace.
