Milo is a 2 year old Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd cross who was unfortunately hit by a car causing a fracture of one side of his pelvis. He has been recovering in a foster home to allow time to see if the fracture will heal or if we will need to do a second procedure to keep him comfortable. He has made significant improvement and the current opinion is that he will have a healthy pain free life with all four legs. Should he need a second procedure to keep him comfortable in the next 2 years, Second Chance Fund would cover that expense.

Milo is a very loving, happy, and pain tolerant dog and has integrated well with his foster family’s other dog. He loves the attention of his people and has a hard time controlling his “licker.” He is very smart and would be a loyal companion. We are not sure how he would interact with cats yet considering his farm background. He doesn’t quite understand how to play with other dogs yet but with time, will likely get the hang of it. He does not require any special care at this time as far as exercise restriction, but he will not likely be an agility dog or a distance running companion due to the nature of his injury. We would love to find his forever home before Thanksgiving!

He will be adopted by the first qualified applicant so get your application submitted as soon as possible. Milo has lots of love to give and will make a wonderful pet for someone! We are grateful to have been able to offer him a Second Chance and look forward to seeing what his future holds.
