PALS is a 501(c)3 private non-profit, No Kill, animal rescue operating PALS Haven, serving Lodi, and our surrounding communities, working to save the lives of stray and abandoned animals. After many years of volunteering in various capacities at the Lodi Animal Shelter, a dedicated group calling themselves "Shelter Volunteers" applied for non-profit 501(c)(3) status as People Assisting the Lodi An

imal Shelter (PALS). Operating out of a small 700 sq ft building with 8 outdoor kennels, PALS provided 18 years of service to the City of Lodi, and the Lodi Animal Shelter, where we had great success in reducing the number of animals euthanized by the city, and in increasing the number of shelter animals adopted or placed into rescue. Today, we operate a 13,000 sq ft adoption center and sanctuary that we call PALS Haven, an amazing facility that we were able to build completely debt free thanks to the support, and generosity, of our community. And, with your continued support, we can build sustainability for this amazing facility, and continue to serve our community in an even greater capacity, saving the lives of even more stray and abandoned companion animals, for many, many years to come!

This week we shine the spotlight on Indigo and Ava!

Indigo is an absolute sweetheart of a dog, equal parts playful, and couch potato. We're not exactly sure what she is, part Pug, part Terrier, but she has a great personality, and she's always happy to be around people! She's always so happy to go out to our yards, her tiny body can hardly contain her excitement, and she'll take off running around, exploring the yard and all the smells, but it's not long before she's running back to to curl up in your lap for some attention, and lots of pets!

Ava is our little panther in training. Well, a loveable, sweet, and cuddly panther, that is! Ava might be the smallest kitten in our free roam room, but she made herself at home right away, and she has lots of fun playing with her other feline friends - she will definitely do well in a home with other cats with similar outgoing and playful personalities. Ava loves being around people, too, so when she's not romping around the room with her feline friends, she's always happy to get some attention from one of our volunteers, and curl up in their lap for a well deserved kitten nap!

If you're interested in meeting Indigo or Ava, or any of the other 100+ adoptable animals we have waiting to find their forever home, please come in and get to know them! We're open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, and you do not need an appointment to meet our adoptable animals!

Please join us in giving a big THANK YOU! to this young lady who came in last week with a whole bunch of donations for our cats and dogs!

As part of the A.C.T. Project (A Community Transformed Project) conducted by Radiant Life Church in Lodi, Ava wrote an essay about how she wanted to help a local animal rescue - PALS Haven - and she was recognized as a Finalist!

As a Finalist in the A.C.T. Project, Ava was awarded $350 to spend on food, treats, litter, toys, and more, to donate to help the animals here at PALS Haven.

We truly appreciate Ava's love for animals, and her caring spirit, and we thank her for choosing PALS Haven to receive these donations! We'd also like to thank Radiant Life Church, and those that support their fundraisers throughout the year, that make donations like this, and many others through their A.C.T. Project, possible!

We’re out here at Raising Cane’s in Lodi for our monthly fundraiser to help support our mission to save the lives of stray, abandoned, and relinquished animals in our community!

This handsome boy is DJ, and he’ll be out here for the next hour or so with his buddy, Russ!

We’ll be out here until 6:00pm, but the fundraiser goes all day, and all you have to do is mention PALS Haven when you place your order, and Raising Cane’s donated 15% of net sales to PALS Haven!

We are so happy to share that Pet Supplies Plus in Lodi will be holding a donation drive for PALS Haven, tomorrow, on Giving Tuesday!

The donation drive will be all day, and PALS Haven will be out there with a few of our adorable adoptables from 11:00am to 2:00pm, so stop by, say Hi! and while you’re shopping at Pet Supplies Plus for your pets' needs, pick up a donation to help feed the cats and dogs at PALS Haven!

We're just one day away from Giving Tuesday!

This year we've rescued over 100 cats and kittens that were strays, abandoned at Haven, or relinquished by owners who were no longer able to provide care for them. From day old bottle babies, to 14 year old cats whose owners had passed away. If we have room, we do everything we can to save their lives, provide needed medical care, socialization, and the love and structure to help get them ready to find their forever home. But, we can't do it without you, and your support!

This Giving Tuesday, please consider making a donation to our Giving Tuesday 2025 fundraising campaign. We're hoping to raise $10,000 by the end of the year to help cover the cost of providing housing, medical care, litter, food, and training so that our furry friends can find their forever homes!
