PALS is a 501(c)3 private non-profit, No Kill, animal rescue operating PALS Haven, serving Lodi, and our surrounding communities, working to save the lives of stray and abandoned animals. After many years of volunteering in various capacities at the Lodi Animal Shelter, a dedicated group calling themselves "Shelter Volunteers" applied for non-profit 501(c)(3) status as People Assisting the Lodi An

imal Shelter (PALS). Operating out of a small 700 sq ft building with 8 outdoor kennels, PALS provided 18 years of service to the City of Lodi, and the Lodi Animal Shelter, where we had great success in reducing the number of animals euthanized by the city, and in increasing the number of shelter animals adopted or placed into rescue. Today, we operate a 13,000 sq ft adoption center and sanctuary that we call PALS Haven, an amazing facility that we were able to build completely debt free thanks to the support, and generosity, of our community. And, with your continued support, we can build sustainability for this amazing facility, and continue to serve our community in an even greater capacity, saving the lives of even more stray and abandoned companion animals, for many, many years to come!

We wanted to take a few minutes to share some photos, and our appreciation to all those involved in last weekend's Toys, Tails & Treats event!

First, we are so thankful for all the hard work put in by Trina and Paws & Pints organizing this event, and inviting us to take part in it! Paws & Pints is a wonderful non-profit started by friends that love dogs, that hosts fundraising events for local rescues and shelters. This past weekend they raised $957 to help support the needs of stray and abandoned animals in Lodi! It was a pleasure meeting Trina and her team, and we hope to be able to work together in the future!

We also want to thank Pet Supplies Plus for hosting the event at their Lodi location!

And of course, we can't thank the vendors enough for coming out for this event, and showcasing their products and helping bring people out to this event! If you want to help support local - small businesses, check out the list below, give them a follow, and shop with them!

This week we shine the spotlight on Bolt & Val!

Bolt may be the most exuberant chow hound we've ever seen - he likes his meals, and he loves his treats! Bolt has lots of energy, which is good, because he loves being active, and whether you're taking him for walks, or engaging him with play, he loves being connected with people. If you're looking for a big, goofy, playful, and loving furball to love and make a part of your family, Bolt might just be your dog!

Val might not be quite as boisterous as Bolt, but she's every bit as playful and loving! One of three kittens born to surrendered mom, Val saw her sister and brother find their forever homes, and now she's looking for a loving forever home of her own! She's playful and affectionate, part curious adventurer, part loving lap cat, and she'll do well as an only cat, or with other feline friends!

If you're interested in meeting Bolt or Val, or any of the other 100+ adoptable animals we have waiting to find their forever home, please come in and get to know them! We're open Tuesday through Saturday, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, and you do not need an appointment to meet our adoptable animals!

Stop by the Paws & Pints tent and enter a raffle - proceeds will be donated to the rescues (PALS Have ) and shelter (Lodi Animal Services) that are out here, today!

Check out all the venders while you’re here there’s everything from candles, pet bandanas, pet care products, sourdough focaccia bread, and more! Grab a bite to eat while you’re out here, too, there’s fresh baked pizza and a yogurt truck!

Pray the weather holds up, because we are looking forward to taking part in the Toys, Treats & Tails event sponsored by our friends at Paws & Pints, tomorrow, Saturday, November 15, from 11:00am to 4:00pm, at Pet Supplies Plus in Lodi!

There will be raffles, vendors, music, food & drinks, and a photo booth!
