Pumpkin is dreaming of his new home 💙
Sweet Markus is searching for his forever home.. He has a nice temperament, good with kids and other dogs and would fit nicely into many household situations. Please share him and lets get him adopted!
All right AMT fans.
Willie made it to his emergency foster home and is in love with his new foster mom and sister, as well as the backyard. Sophie runs circles around him, but they’ve engaged in some play as well. They’re nicely sharing toys and settling in well.
This is an example of how important it is to do proper introductions and allow a new dog coming in to have time to decompress. Sophie can be a bit overwhelming at times but we advocated for both dogs to have time to do proper sniffing and moved the dogs away from each other when too much time was spent. This let’s each dog know that we’re advocating for them and giving space when it’s overwhelming.
Rebecca is now giving him some crate rest as he adjusts to being in a new space!!🙌🏻 Willie is partially blind, so there was some bumping into things and some stumbles down new stairs.
He adjusts quickly to new spaces, people and dogs when done in a systematic and controlled process. It’s time to find Willie his forever home. He’d do well with the right female dog with a proper intro and acclimating period. He’d also be ok as an only dog. He loves to roll in fresh green grass, play with toys and swimming would be great exercise and therapy for him to build even more strength. His former foster environment really brought him out of his shell and improved his social skills and all the walks built his strength. This is a dog that was to be euthanized due to his injuries, which ended up only being temporary paralysis. Who wants to help him by sharing this out to find one happy go lucky dog, who doesn’t let his body challenges stop him, a home?!?!
Stanley is HOME 🏠 here’s a video of him and sister having some off leash playtime at a park just before they both went home. Go home session was great and we walked the neighborhood and he’s already met a new neighborhood dog friend and family who ❤️ed him. Hopi (his sister) chased some rabbits but recalled with her new training. It will only let me post one video, so I’ll drop some more in the comments. Congrats to Stanley and Hopi and their humans Robbin and John. Welcome to the AMT family! 🐾😍🐾
Who’s ready for a Stanley Pupdate?!?!?😎 Stanley has some AMAZING news to share. He is getting ADOPTED 🐾🎉😮😍😎🐾 after meeting a lot of different families (with kids, without kids, with another dog and without), he has found his match. Some families passed on him and he passed on others, so not the right place for him. Stanley began as a shutdown guy who was in a shelter environment for 6 months and then boarding for 3 months, so 9 months in a kennel. He was shutdown and a real anxious guy with no life behind his eyes. After a failed adoption (less than 24 hours), I made room for him to foster with me.
We went to a training workshop to “address” his “reactivity” to things thanks to a generous donation from Rosemary Rupp. He’s really not reactive at all, just needed to decompress and feel safe again. So, that’s what we did. We decompressed, trained, counter conditioned, and life came back into his eyes again and he became a truly happy, well adjusted, balanced dog that loves: life, people (men, women, children), other dogs, the water, swimming, dock diving, playing with his dog friends, being off leash. He’s actually more anxious and worried when he’s on leash.
He’s fully on and off leash trained with amazing recall and ability to listen. He’s an absolute catch and is and has been an amazing demo dog as I begin my business. People have said, “he’s yours” and “you should keep him” and I have been tempted. But, I look in his eyes and know that’s theres more for him. We came into each other’s lives for a reason; he’s healed me, and I’ve helped him heal and he’s helped my dog Daisy become more balanced. This one will be the hardest one I’ve had to let go, but he deserves the best and I want to give that to him.
Sin City will be his new home on 3 acres of land, with an in ground pool, a young and energetic sister and two great humans. He’ll get to go to work with them and have some amazing new adventures. I’ll post some more pics of him and his new sister along with his
Meet Shirley! Shirley is the sweetest girl! At 5 years old, she doesn’t quite understand why she doesn’t have a family of her own. She’s extremely loving and wants to be part of the action. Once comfortable in a home, she follows her people around the house and even sleeps with them. She does well with kids, dogs and cats!
Shirley is currently housed at Petsmart in Roseville.
Another happy update!
Abby is being fostered temporary with Alyssa, who is taking amazing care of our sweet girl. Abby has received a nail clipping, nice warm bath and LOTS of love!! We are so sad her fate in the shelter was to be euthanized. Abby is such a sweet girl and with more time and love, she's going to open up and be an amazing family member to someone. We were able to purchase a nice kennel for her and want to thank evenyone who donated towards the necessitys and care for her. Thank you Alyssa and Sabrina for opening your heart to this girl! ❤
Stanley recalling...this was without having to utilize a correction. Stanley is now on what’s called a “free pass.” He only gets reminded when he’s non-compliant!! It’s amazing when dogs can enjoy this off leash freedom. Stanley and all the dogs are still leashed when other dogs and humans are around because it’s the safe and courteous thing to do!
Darla was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services. She is at our new Pet Smart location on Sierra College Blvd in Roseville. Come over to meet her and the other kitties we have available.
Willie is our special needs dog. Most will remember our posts about him. He was likely hit by a car, as he was paralyzed from his waist down, dragging his poor little feet. He has little eyesite but his hearing seems to be good. Check him out today, hanging out with us at Pet Food Express, playing with his toys! He IS available for adoption or foster and we would love to chat with you about him. We know he has a special person out there! Won't you bring him home for the holidays?
Okay friends and family, we need your help again! This poor Maltipoo, who we named Willy, is at shelter and he needs our help. He was hit by a car and needs X-rays and treatment. He may possibly be blind, as well. Willy looks to be young and doesn't deserve to live his life in this condition. Our Paypal is pinned to the top of our page and I will include it in the comment section also. Treatment for Willy will not be cheap, so any donation you can spare will help. We would love to help this little guy. You can also help us by sharing this post. Thank you!
Good morning animal lovers!!🐾We have an urgent request. Stanley is a young Border collie/greyhound mix who is in danger at the Lodi Animal Shelter. He is a shelter staff favorite, but he has gotten increasingly kennel stressed since he's been there. We are raising funds to spring him from the shelter into a better life. There is a place for him at Best Friends Pet resort where he will receive some much needed training. I've evaluated him and he needs some basic obedience and manners work. He is eager to learn, toy and treat motivated, and just needs some patient guidance to blossom into a better version of the already great dog he is. Please consider donating to our PayPal account and note that the donation is for Stanley. All donated funds will go directly into freeing Stanley and your donation is tax deductible. If you can't donate, then please please share this post widely.
Our little Sparky (formally known as Eugene) that was pulled from the Lodi Shelter the other day. He loves playing with his foster moms dogs! What a huge improvement a few days make.
