This weekend, I was lucky to introduce Mark Johnson to Combined Driving by taking Mark around the course as my celebrity navigator at the Notara HDT!

To those familiar with hockey or especially Wisconsin Hockey 🏒, Mark needs no introduction. For the rest of you...Mark is a well-respected hockey coach (count 8 NCAA Championships 😳) and NHL and Team USA player (member of the Miracle On Ice Team USA🇺🇸). 🥇To add to that, he and his wife, Leslie, are wonderful people.

Lucas and I gave Mark a chance to feel the thrill of a combined driving marathon. And he did a GREAT JOB on the back step! Chad better watch out! He might lose his job! 🤣

Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor competed at the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials on June 27, 2025. She was supported by her university friend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, and her mother, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Horse driving carriage competition was founded by the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1982 after he retired from playing polo.

After Prince Philip's passing in 2021, his youngest granddaughter, Lady Louise, who is technically Princess Louise of Edinburgh, inherited his horse driving carriage gear and continued his legacy.
