For Pet of the Week this week we have one of the most handsome Boxers I have ever met. This beautiful boys name is Tank. Tank is a 7 year old Boxer who just recently started coming to us in December. Although he's only been coming to us for 2 months now he has definitely made his mark in our lives. Tank definitely has the Boxer personality to him. He loves to play non stop from sun up to sun down just about. And he absolutely loves to eat. On his first visit with us, like most dogs, Tank was a bit shy and didn't know what to think about everything. He sat and watched other dogs, nibbled at his food never really ate it. But as time went on, Tank became more and more social. Now hes one of the happiest, most social dogs we have come. Tank loves to play with the balls he finds out in the area, or he loves to pounce on the other dogs getting them to play. Tank absolutely adores the old German Shorthair in medium named Taz. Tank and Taz are constantly side by side with each other. And even sleep together. Like most Boxers Tank hates to be locked up anywhere so he gets to sleep out in our medium dog area where he cuddles on the couch with his best friend Taz. We love having Tank here and look forward to all visits with him.

For Pet of the Week this week we have a very special girl staying with us. This gorgeous 5 year old Golden Retriever Collie mix is named Whippet. Whippet has been staying with us for awhile, while her owners get a new house. Whippet like every other dog that first comes to us was nervous and scared and had no idea what to think about this place nor the staff. But as Whippet has stayed with us she has began to realize that its not so bad here and has completely come out of her shell. Whippet is a very funny dog, she loves to steal the ball from her friend Buckshot and then drop it in front of him for him to grab. However when he goes to grab it she lunges and snatches it first and runs off to do it again. Whippet like most dogs loves to get her energy out more towards the beginning of the day, and then by the end shes tired and just wants to take naps. However she likes to take naps in the most odd of places. Instead of climbing on the couch and laying where its comfy, she'll park herself right in the middle of the floor so all the dogs trip over her. Or she'll find weird little crevices in the area and sleep there. We love having Whippet around and look to all future visits with her!

For Pet of the Week this week we have a beautiful angel named Rosalie. Rosalie is a gorgeous year old black lab. Rosalie is a newer dog who first started coming in August of last year. Rosalie doesn't come very often but when she does she surely knows how to be the life of the party. Rosalie loves to play whether shes playing with her doggy friends, stealing balls, finding sticks or tackling the staff to the ground Rosalie is all about it. Rosalie's favorite thing is when staff walks into her area and she comes darting in from outside to try and climb in your arms to cuddle. Rosalie loves to cuddle shell sit on the couch in medium with you and lay her head down to make you pet her until shes ready to play again. My most favorite thing about Rosalie is how happy she is all the time. Shes a very shy girl when it comes to new comers people or dogs but you can tell when she starts to warm up because she will give you the biggest most beautiful smile I have ever seen on a dog. When people say black labs are just angels without wings they are not kidding! I love this girl with my whole heart and look forward to every adventure we get with her!

For Pet of the Week this week we have a gorgeous 13 year old Chiweenie named April. April is long time comer who first started her visits in December of 2015. April loves the beds we have out in small and that's were you will typically find her. Aprils not much of a player but more of an observer. She likes to lay on the beds either inside or outside and watch everyone else play and do their thing. Every now and then she does get a spurt of energy to join however that lasts just a few minutes and then she goes back to observing. April loves her blanket and that is the only thing she ever wants. When you put her in her kennel and her blanket isn't in her spot she will get upset and move it to her liking so she can snuggle her little head into it. I personally enjoy having April come in even though she thinks its the end of the world because she doesn't have her mom, but I am excited for every stay we get to have with her.

To restart our Pet of the week for the year 2025, we have a special guest with us named Taz. Taz is a long time visitor and has been visiting us since he was just 1 year old! He is now going on 12 years in May! Although hes beginning to hit the elder age hes not letting it slow him down. Taz loves everything to do with playing. Whether that's playing with other dogs, ripping branches off trees, stealing the balls, or running around with his stuffed animals you will find Taz doing it. Taz also has the biggest heart anyone can imagine. Taz is a very kind soul and loves to make everyone feel included in everything, Taz also loves to make the staff feel loved by running over to give them the biggest hugs and kisses. Or even bringing you his stuffed animal on a day your feeling blue. Taz is very big on his stuffed animals, he makes sure only he has the stuffed animal and will tuck it into the blanket at night when he's ready for bed. Taz is always sad when someone else gets a hold of his stuffy and shreds it, you can always see the disappointment on his face. Taz also loves food. He goes crazy when its dinner time and will run in and out of every kennel you open. He also loves bedtime especially when he gets tucked in at night by the staff members. Taz loves to take naps on and off as well and encourages his friends to join him on the bed. Especially his best friend Jack. I absolutely love this dog and love every moment I get to spend with this sweet boy.

After careful consideration and much research Cache Valley Pet Hotels pricing will now be restructured starting Jan. 01, 2025 in order for us to remain open and operate our business properly offering the community our services for many years to come. Our prices will conside with that of the National Cage Free boarding and Daycare pricing structure.

We appreciate your support over the years and look forward to continue doing business with each and everyone of you. We do realize how upsetting this may be to some of our current customers but we vow to do our best to insure lower cost by keeping our base rate lower then the other facilities in our area as well as discounted daycare prices for our boarding customers.

For our very final Pet of the Week for the year 2024 I thought we should do 2 very special boys who have been visiting us for a very long time. These 2 young handsome men are known as Bailey (White) and Duffy (Brown). These two gorgeous German Short hair pointers are litter mates and are 4 years old! They first started coming to us back in June of 2021 and visit us constantly every time their dad has a business meeting. Although they are from the same litter they have completely different personalities to them. Bailey is known as our fence jumper and loves to jump every fence he can possibly get to. He can jump as high as 6 foot fences and unfortunately now has to remain on our lead while he's here. Bailey is more of a people dog and less of a dog dog. Bailey prefers to be laid back and loved by people, and less likely to go run and play with the other dogs. Where as Duffy is all for playing. Hes in and out the door all day long, and never takes a break. He loves to play with balls , sticks, and almost anything else he can dig out of our sandpit. Bailey and Duffy are very much one of a kind dogs, and always have that love hate relationship with each other. When it comes to their blanket at night they love to wrestle and fight over who gets to sleep on it. And when it comes to their food they love to bicker at each other until they get it. I have spent years with these boys and have learned so many things from them, and I look forward to all the years I still get with them!
