This week’s spotlight shines on none other than Rollo, our 1.5-year-old Toy Aussie who’s been bringing the joy to daycare for a whole year now—and what a year it’s been! From the moment Rollo steps through the doors, he makes sure the whole world knows he’s arrived. If you’ve heard what sounds like a pterodactyl landing in the building, don’t worry—it’s just Rollo letting out the highest screech of his life to announce his presence. And that tail? It doesn’t wag—it vibrates his whole body with excitement every time he sees one of his beloved humans. When he’s not melting our hearts with his happy greetings, you’ll find Rollo hard at work dragging his favorite toys across the daycare floor, determined to decorate the space just the way he likes it. His toy collection is always on the move, but nothing compares to the one true love of his life—his blanket. Whether it’s nap time, playtime, or just lounging, Rollo and his blanket are absolutely inseparable. Sweet, spunky, and always full of personality, Rollo is a tiny bundle of joy that keeps our days full of laughter and love. We’re so lucky to have spent the last year with him and can’t wait for many more!

Meet Copper, our fun-loving, people focused Pet of the Week! This 3-year-old Vizsla has been bringing endless energy and charm to Cache Valley Pet Hotel for 2 years now, and we couldn't be more thrilled to spotlight him. Copper is the kind of dog who makes instant friends wherever he goes with his sleek rust-colored coat and constant tail wags, he's hard to miss-and even harder not to love! He thrives on action and can often be found leading a game of chase with his favorite medium-sized playmates. Whether its zooming through the yard or initiating a game of tag, Copper is always in motion and always making sure the fun doesn't stop. But what truly sets Copper apart is his heart more than anything, Copper loves being close to people. Hes never far from the staff, often following them around like a faithful sidekick, watching everything they do with those soulful eyes. Whether we're handing out treats, cleaning up, or just taking a quick break, Copper is right there as if to say, “What are we doing next?' Copper brings an incredible balance of high energy, gentle affection, and goofy personality to our facility. Hes the kind of dog that makes everyday a little brighter, and we're lucky to have him as part of our pack! We can't wait to see what adventures he'll lead next!

For Pet of the Week this week we have the most bossy girl to walk through our door. Say hello to Smudge, our fabulous 11-year-old longhair Chihuahua and one of Cache Valley Pet Hotel’s most seasoned veterans—she’s been ruling the roost here since 2017! Smudge may be small, but she is absolutely packed with personality. She’s got opinions, she’s got sass, and she’s not afraid to let you know exactly how she feels about things—especially when she thinks she deserves more attention (which is always). During her day, Smudge can usually be found perched in a cozy bed, keeping a close eye on her domain. She has a true queen’s presence, often climbing atop the dog houses like her personal throne, surveying the other littles and making sure everything is running just the way she likes it. She’s the self-appointed boss of the small dog group, and the rest of the pups know it. Whether she’s directing the playgroup with a bark or strutting confidently through the room, Smudge knows she’s in charge—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. From her early days in 2017 to now, Smudge has been a cherished part of our boarding family. Her confidence, charm, and one-of-a-kind attitude make her a true standout. We adore you, Smudge—thanks for keeping things lively and full of love all these years!

For Pet of the Week this week we have the most stunning boy I have ever seen. This handsome face belongs to Mozzie. Mozzie is a 5 year old German Shepherd who has been visiting us since September 2020! Mozzie is always super excited to go out and play when he comes in! He will head straight for the door, and pace as we get him checked in. One we open the door, he will go bounding out into the play area with a grin on his face, and goes looking for a new friend. It doesn't take him long to find a friend to wrestle with thanks to his playful attitude! When he gets tired of roughplay, he finds the nearest tennis ball to show off to the staff. He acts like he'll let you throw it, but the second you go to take the ball, he runs to the other side of the area, wagging his tail. Mozzie also loves to be babied by the staff. If he slips while running, or trips over a toy, he will come running to the closest staff member and sit right next to them with the saddest look ever. When he gets the pets and butt scratches he wants, Mozzie will jump up onto the staff very carefully and give them a couple face licks. He is the Goofiest dog I have ever met, and I enjoy every moment with him.

This week’s Pet of the Week crown goes to none other than our beloved Noonie, a wise and wonderful older Akita who has truly mastered the art of relaxation! Noonie may not be the first one to the toy bin or the fastest on the fetch field—but don’t let that fool you. She’s got a presence that commands attention and a personality as comforting as a warm blanket on a rainy day. Her favorite pastimes? Napping in her favorite sunny spot, enjoying her snacks with gourmet-level appreciation, and keeping a watchful (and slightly amused) eye on all the young pups romping around. But every now and then, when the mood strikes, Noonie surprises us all with a short but spirited burst of zoomies, reminding everyone she’s still got that playful spark tucked behind those soulful eyes. We love having Noonie in our pack—her calm energy, gentle spirit, and occasional sass make her a true camp treasure.
