Losing a dog is devastating. If you are a dog lover, you know getting a new puppy or adopting a dog is the best day. Every time. When we take on this responsibility, we know that we will most likely outlive them & when that day comes, it is the absolute worst day. I knew having so many dogs around the same age would be tough in the end…. Potty training 5 dogs at the same time was nothing to facing the days I would have to say ‘Goodbye, for now’ to 3 of my babies in the last 5 months. We lost Katie back in December to Blastomycosis. We made the choice to stop Murphy’s cluster seizures so that we would never have to find him unable to return from one just a few weeks ago. Then last evening while sleeping, Emma passed. Katie & Emma, ages 10 & 11. Murphy, age 8 with seizures nearly his entire life. It hurts…. So much. As dog lovers we all know.
