Our Adoption Process...
If you see a cat or dog that interests you on our web page, give us a call @ 574-753-5575..we can then set up a day and time for you to meet the pets in person. All of our animals are looking for forever homes and lifetime companionship. Our adoption fees are $100 for cats and $150 and up for dogs. The adoption fees help offset the cost of medical care for the animals. When
you adopt from us you are assured that your new pet is healthy, spayed/neutered and up to date on all their shots. When you decide to adopt a pet, one of our trained volunteers will talk with you and assist you in completing an adoption application. We ask about your pet history, living situation and a variety of other questions that help us determine if you are a suitable forever home. We may also request (and check) personal references. While it may seem that we ask a lot of questions, it's only to protect the best interests of your potential pet (and you!). Please understand that many of these animals have been abandoned by previous owners. We never want to put these sweet animals through that again, so we work very hard to make sure that any new pet-owner relationship is going to be loving, stable and forever, and is a perfect match for both you and your potential pet! But before you adopt, think carefully about your decision. Adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment, both for you and the pet. Dogs and cats can live up to (and even beyond) 20 years. Your new pet will form a very deep bond with you. Remember that while you have your friends, family and the outside world, your pet has only you, and terminating your relationship with your pet for any reason is emotionally devastating to your pet. Of course, a relationship with a pet is a wonderful, enriching experience, both for you and the pet. Because almost all of our pets have been relinquished by previous owners or found as strays, we want to make sure that you and your potential pet are a match.
