Congrats to Linda Williams, winner of our 50/50 raffle! Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets to help support our rescue organization! And thanks to Loganville Petsmart manager, Daryl, for drawing the winning ticket for us!
Daryl says in the video: “Alrighty, we have the winner of the - it’s probably going to be over $1000 - so the raffle winner will be for ... this young lady ... Linda Williams! Excellent, Linda! We look forward to seeing you. Buy some merchandise here too! Thank you.”
Took blind Simone to the vet today for a recheck of her dental surgery (all good!). Well, clearly the clinic cat was bored ... tee hee hee!
Kim Stokes is our 50/50 Raffle winner - $500 is yours! The other $500 goes to pay for the medical care of our foster dogs. Thank you to all who purchased tickets! Thank you to Cassie and Amy at Monroe Animal Care Hospital for drawing the lucky winning ticket!
Thelma taught herself how to play fetch! How adorable is that. This cutie pie is hoping for a forever home for the holidays ... help us spread the word by sharing this post!
So Oliver and Amelia decided today was the day to build a nest! How cool is that. They spent all day dragging branches and whatnot over to a spot with hay under some trees. They even prefer it to the warmth of the garage that is heated with beds and blankets.
Play time with all the doggies :)
Chubbs does love his sister :)
Hannah and Thelma (both up for adoption!) having some play time before bed 😊
I think it's safe to say Chubbs is having a good day ☺️
Update on Wilma! The meds (and TLC) are working beautifully! Her eyes are much less red and irritated, her ear infections are clearing up, and her energy level is increasing. She goes outside by herself now and even barks when she is ready to come back in! She always has a smile and a tail wag when we pet her. She is starting to groom herself a bit - great sign of feeling better - and she is eating very well. It's such a pleasure to see this beautiful senior enjoying the end of her life and to get to know her awesome personality, day by day! Big thanks to Janet Cornwell and Holly Bell for sending donations to cover her expenses!
At vet with Wilma to make sure we have all the meds she needs for end of life care. Despite her appearance, she does still have quality of life - even wags her tail and gives kisses - so our aim to to alleviate as much of her discomfort as possible until the bad days outweigh the good. She is worth it!
Welcome new rescue, Wilma! As you can see, her eyes are in absolutely horrible shape. She also has an enlarged, hardened stomach and lymph nodes, which means cancer is very likely. This poor senior has been neglected for some time! Her owners turned her into animal control and requested euthanasia, but the shelter staff declined to do so and reached out to us instead. They are charging the owners with neglect. We will see what can be done for Wilma and give her everything possible to make her comfortable! If you are interested in sponsoring her care, please send us a message. Thanks!
