Hello !

Its that time of year, and we would like to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone ❤️ and there's something i want to talk to you all about.
You may have noticed there are a lot of puppies about right now. I mean a LOT of them. I see a new "my dog had puppies" post every day it feels like, and almost none of them are from people who have vet work done or even have a clue what they are doing. Despite my efforts in my home community, many people seem to prefer to remain uneducated and think its a good idea to have a whole litter so they can have "one puppy" from the dog they think is the most awesome thing ever.
They dont think about the dog they are breeding them with, they dont think about genetics, they dont care about temperaments, because they only want that one puppy and the rest are just a side note that have to be rehomed as quickly as possible.
Im sorry guys, but i refuse to be one in this wave of people. We are not having puppies this year. We will not contribute to the HUGE amount of over breeding that is happening around the holidays this year.
**For those of you who are on our waiting list, i am truly sorry for the wait and we will be resuming our program in the next cycle, when the area isnt so choked with BYB puppies.
Please get ahold of me if you wish to be taken off the list, or if you want to talk to me about the plans for the future.

Thank you all for being awesome :) and following my journey with my lovely babies. Pictures are of our past production from 2022

A committee within the Colorado General Assembly has proposed a bad bill that shockingly aims to roll back access to remote veterinary appointments by requiring in-person exams.

I work with rescues every day, i am an ESA/Service Dog program breeder, and i HATE this meme. No, the rescue dog is not free. Maybe if you literally find one on the side of the road, and dont get sued for picking up some jerk's dog that got out of the yard they were being neglected in. And even if you get to keep it, the vet work isnt free. The shots arent free. Dealing with the diseases, fleas, lice, or ticks they are probably carrying isnt free. And that is without even bringing up the trauma they most likely have and will need training from, the house training they definitely need, and the possible aggression they will have to work through from surviving outside on their own. Rescues charge that "rehoming fee" because they do all of this crap for you, and trust me it would be a LOT more than $200 if charities didnt come in and donate money to cover the first half (or more) of it. And that "free" dog on the side of the road? Yeah if the only reason you picked him up was because he was free then he's going to join his friends in the shelter (or back on the sidewalk) when they see the vet bill. Breeders charge what they do because their dogs are HEALTHY AND HAPPY and they know that for a fact because they already did the vet work, already had them assessed by a trainer. If you find the need to argue with that statement you are dealing with a puppy mill, not a breeder, and theres a very big difference. Stop giving puppy mills your money because they are cheaper than a real breeder and we wouldnt have as many of those either.

Sad reality.

A great positive reinforcement training method 🥰
